Let me say this...

I was at that debacle on Tuesday night. One good thing is that my friend and I got to move down to low 200 level seats with about 5 minutes left because we sucked so bad. That's the closest I've been and it was pretty damn amazing just to see the action up close.

You forget when you're watching it on TV, but people pay a lot for those damn tickets. When Nate dunked at the end, I was jumping up and cheering because that was one of the few damn entertaining moments of the game. At that point in the game, who cares if he dunks? I'm sure he's not any less disappointed that they got trampled again. At least I got to see a 5'7 guy dunk up close. I think the fans deserve something to justify the money, even if it is a last second (but really damn impressive) dunk.

On a side note, I will be really surprised if Nate doesn't win the dunk competition.

yeah, at this point brown needs to start learning how to win with what he's got...this bunch isn't that bad, I've been able to beat up on people in nba2k6 with this same squad.

Come on larry...it's time to STFU. marbs is a shell of his former self, craw went from average 16 points a game to 16 turnovers a game, 14 players have started, give us all a break...remember, knick fans know and we're starting to get sick of your finger pointing.

Phil Jackson just embarrassed you on your home floor so bad that you got yourself ejected.

Phil Jackson is a better here and now coach.

WE still believe in you, but stop killing our players.

That's fine, from a fan perspective. But the coach is not a fan. THANK HEAVEN

Like TKF and Fishmike said earlier, it aint' about winning 35 games and hopefully sneaking in as an eight seed. It's about building a winner. To hell with fan entertainment. I want to fill the garden by winning. We need to get rid of all the bad habits these guys have accumulated or else we will just be watching them 4 years from now complaining about how we only win 35 games every year.

All this LB bashing is ridiculous. Like it's his fault that these players, whose work ethic and IQ's have been questioned before, won't play hard and make stupid mistakes.

It's like that time against the Hornets when Chris Paul let a 3-0 break and not a single Knick made it past the halfcourt line. Was it LB's fault that nobody thought "hey, I should try to get back on defense"?

There's only so much a coach can do. Even the greatest coaches need players who are willing to work and play hard or else nothing else they do will matter. Believe it or not but the player's have to share in the accountability.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Maybe they were to preoccupied with the rotations

one thing, he is preparing them to be ready to contribute when called. I don't htink anybody is baching larry...we know he was gonna tear the team down and build it back up...but there has to be a reason why we keep getting blown out...but that's rebuilding...what can we do? This is how LB works...not too concerned about it because even with the losses, i've been thoroughly entertained and positive on the future...just strange to see us not even compete, but marbs is hurt, so that could contribute.

Still happy and still down with the knicks, just wondering why this is the first time LB has not come up with a set rotation by the all star break.

Every other stop, he has, even in the aba and college.

Just strange he's decided to try it his way...I don't think Zeke is allowed to talk to him about it, this is all LB...it's why he came back.

Rebuilding.

"I saw Paul on the breakaway and I knew somewhere in my heart I should get back on D. Then I realized well maybe I won't play in the fourth quarter. What's my role anyway. Will I get 3 minutes or 5 minutes in the fourth. Screw it, I'll just let Paul go. LB is so confusing"

After the game same player:"why didn't I play in the fourth quarter, life is so unfair."

Look no further than the results of the last 9 games(average 15 pt loss) for your answer. No effort=no consistent minutes. The moment you see it the other way around is the moment you will see changes to the roster because that is when LB is telling us he has given up on a portion of the roster.

LB is not oppposed to a set rotation. He has always had one. For six games we had one here. But unfortuantely when Marbs went down players used it as an excuse to atek some time off instead of stepping up, thus forcing LB's hand to go back to taking away minutes again. The players responded by acting confused, losing confidence and complaining about he coach. Yup those are guys you want to build a championship around.

Effort comes first, minutes second.

yep, that's why I'm not worried, the rooks have already played more games this year than they have in a single year ever. So, I'm goign to chalk it up to the rookie wall...I've seen it happen when the best player gets hurt and the rest of the team goes down as well, but that still doesn't explain things like lee suddenly not starting and rose in his place...I think LB just doesn't like to air the Real dirty laundry.

It's been 2 year's and 2 months under the new regime...I'm not concerned.

I've been enjoying the season believe it or not, I've learned that the daily haterade at UltimateKnicks is just frustrated fans venting, not the true thoughts on the organization.

Curry is definitely out of shape, but everytime he drops 10 points in the first quarter, I say HE IS ONLY 23!!!

that's one year OLDER than frye and lee and 2 years older than nate.

Qwoods turns 25 this year (and he's listed at a G/F...SG anyone?!?!?)

Jackie B and Reezy are both 20...effing 20!!

Davis and penny are gone this year, rose and MoT still give max effort, assuming that's where their minutes are coming from.

heck, who wouldn't want a player not giving effort on the bench...

no worries.

Crawford is the wierd one...he went from scoring 20 points in a half to 6 a game...if anybody should be playing better by now it's him...it looks like everyone is covering for him when they are out there...what's with the tendency to turn the ball over 3 times in a row? who knows, but hey, it's still about the future of the knicks...if it was about wins, we would have kept the roster just after the marbs trade, that roster was a .500 team and playoff ready...but I'm about the future...sht, the knicks have won a championship since the early 70's, we're not the only ones suffering, my dad and older brother are as well.

ps marbs is hurt

I think you and I are on the same page. It's tough because LB is never going to give us real answers and we arent' in practice so we don't know if David is making the same Goshdarn error 100 times in a row. I know this because I've harped on players for not doing one simple thing and never mentiioned it to anyone outside the team.

But I think just understanding what we have is the simplest way to keeping a sane mind. We have a young team that is going to hit a wall, lose confidence and make mistakes. we have a group of vets that either works hard and lacks talent, or has talent and lacks work ethic. And we have a leader that is learning to lead for the first time and may finally be sick of losing. And we have a fan base and media dying for a story and the head of someone to blame. None of this equals winning. The only way that will happen is patience, growth and stability and getting through to the players to stop whining and listen to the one guy that has won anything.
