per 48 isn't real. It's a hypothetical.

And I gave their ages while I was giving all those other "real" numbers.

Well, more to the point, when Okur was 23 he was playing 19mpg. Curry is 23, and in a season riddled with injuries and no training camp and no summer workouts, giving us 27mpg. It stands to reason that Curry will be able to give us 35mpg in the next year or two, at which point, given his per minute stats, he will be far more valuable than Okur.

Also, you can't just look the other way at their FG%. One thing Okur has on Curry is definitely turnovers. I think turnovers are a big part of what will determine whether Curry can be a star/dependable low-post option or someone who is always tantalizing with potential. But right now, he is a far better and more efficient scorer than Okur and a better shotblocker and a very similar rebounder.

Eddy Curry without a doubt. Okur is a nice player and you like the fundamentals he brings but I like Curry's youth and the potential to become dominant. Okur is never going to be a dominant player in the NBA and he is just as inconsistant as Curry. If you look at his game logs, he disappears just as much as Curry does scoring-wise. I'll take the potential for dominance.

What are you basing more minutes for Curry in the future on? His game is prone to foul trouble and his work ethic and lack of conditioning makes him prone to injury and fewer minutes. I do think 30 minutes a night is more typical of what you'll get out of him in a few years which puts his production level on par with what you're getting out of Okur, but only in points and rebs. Okur gives you better production all around.

How is Curry a better shot blocker and rebounder? Okur avgs 50% more rebs. Go to you boss and reject a 50% raise because it's just similar to what you're making now.

Okur rebounds per minute = .266

Curry rebounds per minute = .246

Go to your boss and tell him .266 is 50% more than .246 and you'll have a lot more time to post on ultimate knicks.

Yeah if I went to my boss with imaginary numbers instead of actual numbers that mean something I would have a lot more time to post on ultimate knicks.

there's also the issue that Curry is still learning to play the game. Mark Aguire, who taught Jermaine Oneal a lot of what he knows, said he was shocked at how little Curry knew about boxing out and positioning.

if you give Curry the benefit of being healthy and learning, it stands to reason his rebounds per minute will improve.

"imaginary" = doesn't aid your argument?

comparing a player in his prime who plays more minutes to a young player who has been injured = real numbers?

This is like uk vs. Isles....well 80% of the time it usually is.

Frye is okur right now. Not much else to say about that.

Its only a matter of time before curry and frye both realize their potential. Both have that glow about them. They both want to get better.

I agree. I would probably give up on this team if it wasn't for those two.
