I ask because this stuff is pure libel and I would not be shocked in any way if someone took offense towards it. Basketball....Hoops....wins and loses...that's what I thought we were talking about on this site. Not bs drivel. If that's what it is please let me know so I can get out of your way.

But, I will leave you with this. Now if you guys keep on with it and let a lot of this crap ride, i'll tell you...it will become more than a circus.

I actally don't mind at all what you are saying... just don't lay down the "I think you are an asswipe" part, makes you sound like an asswipe, if you get my meaning. (it's all about extrapolation, image if the tone of most everyone who posted here started that way, these forums would turn to crap in a second. There are better ways to push your meaning - all frustration aside.)

No, i'm a big boy (and I assume you are also) and i've heard quite a few adults use this kind of language so I don't agree with your reasoning at all.

As you know this is your site and you set the tone. Basketball, hoops, wins and loses....that's what I thought we were discussing here. Not libelous bull****. I think the orginal post was purely about Isiah's character. Not sure where you are drawing the GM ability to character association. Saying that you don't like someone's character is not the same thing as saying his capability is diminished because of it (nor is there support of such thing).

man, it's freakin hard to mod forums. EVERY SINGLE POSTER has their own idea of what a good thread is and what a good poster is and what a good post is, and it seems to me that everyone also thinks they are absolutely right. Andrew and I are here to help create a middle ground - and realistically, we must be doing something right cause we seem to almost double in size every year over the past few years (even with the Knicks sucking). Don't like the jive that is going on... there are at least 3 other forums that are Knicks related that I can think of. Really, we do try to keep a hands-off approach, mostly cause we don't have the time. Do we lock threads? Yes, but rarely. Do we delete posts? Even more rarely, usually only when we can see that the post would instigate a situation where we would have to do even more mod'ing (that's the key).

One man's assinine post is another's solid opinion. What can I say? But name calling is just that.

The only thing pure about that post was the BS in it. The whole point of this clowns post was that Isiah's character directly relates to his ability as the Knicks GM...and why why he should be released. There's no other reason for him to have posted it.

Please please, don't make it out that your workoad has increased and use that as an excuse for not locking retard threads that are meant only to defame ones character. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Basketball....although it somehow is made out to be. The title of this thread is worth no more than the Post/Daily News article it was taken from. If you don't see that then...again that's on you. As far as name calling goes...I can only suggest that you put ASSWIPE on your ban list.

Are you guess looking for a messiah to worship or are you looking for someone to draft, trade and put players on the court? Are y'all looking for a father figure or something?

I really don't think Isiah and his advisors had any choice in his kid coming out....I think Isiah's "son" (I would like to see some proof) saw the guy responsible (or whom he thinks is responsible, if this isn't a scam) for his birth (notice I didn't say father), and his resentment got the best of him and he decided to be opportunistic and perhaps get even.

You're missing my point. In any court proceeding, the goal is to determine whether or not the accused is liable/guilty as charged. Character evidence tends to prejudice the finders of fact (i.e., the jury).

That's what we are seeing on this thread. Whether or not a person has done questionable things in the past, doesn't necessarily mean they did something wrong in any particular instance.
