What exactly are we developing though? Of all this "young talent" that we supposedly have right now, how many can you see developing into an above average starter? Hell, how many do you see becoming a starter on a good team. Frye, that's about it. All the others can become good role players in the future but that's not what contenders are built around.

Curry is what he is. He doesn't have the work ethic or desire to be much better than he is already. So what "assets" do we have to get much better?
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

I'm starting to think that this team and organization will be better off if we just blow up the roster, and start over by aiming for cap space in 07/08, does that mean that I have no patience and that I am panicing?

I would not say you are panicking, this team has been bad for the entire millenium.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

that's what most everyone said about Detroit's current lineup early on in each's career too.

While you may end up being right about Curry in the end, I just don't see how anyone can say at 23 that he is what he is. The list of players that have become much better players in their mid to late 20's(especially big men) opposed to their young 20's, is quite a list.

I'm sick of people saying they don't care about w/l cause young guys are playing. These are same people who were celebrating saying "50 wins" when we traded for Cury.

Oh come on..Go back a few months. Everyone was so happy. Getting Curry put us as a top 4 team in east. 4 months later it's "We losing..Oh well but the young guys playing".

I still am happy we have Curry. I remember I predicted 43 wins and will probably be dead wrong. I don't remember a lot of people predicting top 4. I definitely don't remember anyone saying before the season that the win total would be more important than the development of the young players.

My point is..As is with young guys we are not winning this year or anytime soon. Curry is a decent center. He's not shaq. Frye has sweet jumper but guy he guards usually scores more than him. Lee,Nate,Ariza and Butler while they have there moments they are role players because of there big flaws.

Weaknesses:
Nate - Height,Turnovers and Passing
Lee - Doesn't have a position and Shooting
Ariza - Dribbling,Passing,One on One Defense and Shot
Butler - Defense,Shape.

Every guy in NBA has a weakness i understand that and guys listed above can very well improve but i doubt all of them will improve every weakness.

We have a team full of guys who would look great on the playground in NY but in NBA.. Ehhhhhhh.
