>Coaching prowess aside, Chaney was still a respected professional in the league, as was Shandon.

McK1 - Butch Beard and Byron Scott were also respected professionals in the league.

Chris Dudley was a respected professional. That don't mean I want him shooting free throws

You're shifting your rationales.

You mentioned karma for why the Knick record is what it is. If karma matters, Kobe should suck.

yu brought up Kobe.

Kobe's team has almost as many wins this season as Steph's team did for the 2005 year. LA will be in the play-offs the 2nd year after trading Shaq and surrounding Kobe with summer league champion talent. They have their picks and aren't grossly capped out till the end of the decade. Kobe getting a 4th ring is plausible. Can't say the same about NY.

I brought up Kobe because his off the court character issue rebuts your comment that karma is determinative of on the court success.

Nothing you have posted in response counters that point.

I said the Knicks record is Isiah's bad karma. In other words, the codittion is singular to Isiah and the Knicks. Mentioning Kobe or anyone else is irrelevant.

Stay on topic.

If karma exists, and it well may, then it exist beyond Isiah and the Knicks.

Tighten up your logic.

Sorry... Isiah didnt "find" Qyntel. Everyone in the league knew about his talent. The question was whether or not you were willing to bring in a drug felon/dog fighter into your team chemistry. we will see how it turns out.

fishmike - did you know that Qyntel had a pre draft workout for the Knicks in 2002?

If the scumbag (your word) / dog fighter/ drug felon was lynched at the end of the season would that make you happy?

14-28 Grade F, that is the only thing that counts right now. Everyone is talking about how the team will be in 2 years. When Isiah got here was he thinking about taking 4 years to make this team good???
I want to leave something that's going to stand for a long timeI want to leave a legacy,I want to leave tradition.I want to leave an imprint,a blueprint in terms of how people play, and how they coach and how they respond when they put on the Knick uni.

How could any of us (including you) possibly know something that specific about Isiah's thoughts 2 years ago? Let's judge him by the young core he's forming, not by what thoughts we think were in his mind 2 years ago.

if it were me making that guess, I would have said 3-5 years.

It certainly does.

Kobe has different demons. None of them are basketball related. Isiah's is. Now if you wanted to try and compare Buss trading Shaq to what Isiah did then you would be half-way credible since it too was a franchise turning move as well as an ugly media situation. Even still, Buss knew very well there would be a setback and accepted it. Isiah trumpets his moves as moving forward.

Now Isiah has basketball-related demons?

What, like winning a championship ring?

Or just not kissing ass along the way to your satisfaction?

What demons, other than Mitch Lawrence and Andrew Marchand, are you speakiing of?

>Isiah trumpets his moves as moving forward.

What moves did Isiah "trumpet"?

C'mon, if you're going to throw random stuff out there, at least have the facts to back it up.

Isiah as an exec has many demons, the handling of Chaney being one of them. Wasn't Marv the one who informed Frattelo the job he was just told he had went to Lenny?

favorite moments:

Isiah all over the news smiling and joking with reporters about his banishment of Shandon from the team and his quest to move him.

one of the most trumpeted events was the Crawford saga. You would've thought Isiah was after and traded for Iverson T-Mac or Kobe.

I don't know McK1 you are the self-proclaimed insider with all the direct quotes, you tell me.

>Isiah all over the news smiling and joking with reporters about his banishment of Shandon from the team and his quest to move him.

Did you attend this press conference? How many times did Isiah smile? What were the jokes he told? Any funny ones?

>one of the most trumpeted events was the Crawford saga.

Was the Crawford sage trumpeted by Isiah or the beat writers who have responsibility for documenting when he goes to the bathroom?

I supppse he "trumpeted" the Curry deal as well, right?

As I remember the Keith Van Horn trade was the most trumpted after the fact. Big mistake. But I don't think it was Thomas blowing the horn on that one either.

McK1 - who do YOU want as President of Basketball Operations?

And what players, coaches, administrators, front office workers does he need to get rid of immediately?

You seem to have the inside scoop and all the answers.
