Maybe, but I have trouble believing that rumor. It's not like every team was dying to get Artest and was waiting for him. It seems to me like the Artest craziness and slow trade talk throughout the league are just coincidences. There were only about 4 or 5 teams that were even considered serious contenders to get Ron. I don't see why the other 25 or 26 would stop making trades.

The Artest trade was holding up a lot of things. Seattle, GSW, Denver, Minnesota will probably all make moves before the trade deadline. I think part of it is Artest and part of it is a lot of mediocre teams trying to see if they have a shot at the playoffs or not.
