Lots of good players on the list but not many spots open around the league to fill.

It will be an interesting off-season....alot of guys that should start will be playing back-up roles like they did in the 70's and 80's. The NBA actually could use another expansion team

as for the MLE, it depends on who we draft. If we draft guard/SF, I would offer the entire mLE to Chris Wilcox or Drew Gooden on day 1 for a 4th young BIG.
I'd add Nene to that list. ACL surgery is a very serious procedure but it's almost always fully successful.
Can Gooden play SF for us?

Jones proved his mettle last season when Artest was suspended. Minutes are there for Salmons and he is shooting blanks.

MLE is not for "he mights."

Gin Baker - exhibit A.
Big Lame - exhibit b.

Its impossible to play with Iverson. Look at how he's stunted Iguodala's growth. He has the talent to av more than the 10 points hes getting.

But like I said earlier, other Butler and Harrington, there not much there.
"Man, who knows with this team." Aguirre.

I think Patterson will opt out, he hates Portland. He would be great for a starting SF for us. Claxton would we breat, too, I'v always liked him.

Wilcox I have an issue with, next to Curry we need somebody who is an outstanding rebounder, which Wilcox is not unless I'm mistaken. Speaking of outstaning rebounders, Reggie Evans is riding the pine for the new Sonics coach, he seems like a great option next to Curry.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I think that having a strong rebounder next to curry may be better for the team short term, it is actually a detriment to Curry himself. Let me explain.Curry isn't the most motivated individual, we know that and with a dominant rebounder next to him Curry will coast on the boards.

In 04-05, Curry went over 7 boards 18 times in 71 games that is bad for a center.
This season he has gone over 7 boards 12 times in 24 games (not counting the 6 or so games he didn't play). Curry has to learn to rebound as weird as is sounds and if he is going to learn to do that he can't just pass the buck off to a PF because the PF can rebound. Let Curry learn to rebound and him and Frye will be a great duo.

stats can lie. What's his rebounding % per minute. That will give a better story. I don't think Curry played a lot of minutes in CHI last year, and he had Chandler grabbing all the boards too.

Stats can lie, but in this case IMO Stats are telling a major part of this story. My point WAS that he had Chandler grabbing all those rebounds so he COULD coast. Look at Chandler this season w/o Curry...is that a coincidence? Now Chandler is not playing against 6-9 to 6-10 PF's he is battling 7 foot, beefy centers. Chandler had a distinct advantage last year and that actually put Curry at a disadvantage, because these rebounds Curry normally would have a chance at, Chandler is Grabbing.

Tyson grabbed over 7 rebounds 71 times in 04-05, A bunch ot times he had over 15 and over 20. Tyson led the bulls in rebounding around 50 times last year to Curry's about 7 (http://slam.canoe.ca/StatsBKP/BC-BKP-LGNS-CHICAGOLOG-R.html)

I would rather go by something like this than by some quantitive stat where you can make a formula fit any need you want.

To humor you, I looked up some per 48 minute stats for Chandler and Curry...

In 04-05, Chandler pulled 17 RB per 48. In 05-06, 14.6. In 05-06, Chandler has a +1.8% eff rating.

Curry this year has a -0.8% rating, in 04-05 he was at 9 per 48 this season he is at 12.5 per 48.
