I'm pretty sure Roy came off the bench last year, nate and will conroy started for them in the backcourt. Bobby Jones is pretty good but Roy has much more skill with a good amount of size.

NBADraft.net said he's a defensive stopper too. Sounds like a perfect player for the Knicks.

He's def. starter material. Maybe not right away, but it depends on who drafts him. if Knicks were able to land him in the draft (unlikely at this point) I'd start him at the 2 next year. He puts the ball on the floor better than Q and his game is more fluid. I'd leave Craw in his sixth man role. Plus, he'd gt a chance to grow with the rest of the young players

Yeah, tremendous post Briggs!
I saw that Uconn/LSU game too, and man what a game....
Tyrus Thomas really did look good. A little raw offensively but lots of energy. Rejection city early on - His 7 blocks were a season high...Threw a couple of Boone's shots back at him, even blocked one of his dunk attempts. A little smaller but more athletic Theo Ratliff is what I was thinking while watching him but you guys are right, he does remind me a lot of Stromile Swift - good call. Imagine if he was as tall as Armstrong or Boone. Wow... You guys really think he'll go as high as 7-8 in this next draft? Also, yeah, Glenn Davis is slippery for a 300 pounder, huh? And seems like he can really play at a high level with the extra weight. Still, another guy, like Thomas, who really could use another 2 inches...Also, I was really impressed with Darrel Mitchell. He was really having a good game until he pulled up lame in the second half. Stayed agressive - was really looking for his shot. I thought he was also running the team nicely too. He was getting the ball to the bigs in good position. Even though they're unranked, watch out for the Tigers...
I know Gay had about 18-20 pts. but I don't know about him...Would you really take him with the first overall in the next lottery? He took a lot of bad shots. Threw up a lot of bricks. Every time I see him he seems to have a rough game...That kid Rashad Anderson can really stroke it from deep. He was all net on quite a few he took...Your right on on the Tyrus Thomas/Hilton Armstrong matchup in the 2nd half. It really was money everytime Armstrong got the ball in close against T-Time. I like Hilton a lot. Hasn't really done much so far for the Huskies program and he's been around for a little while now, but you guys are right, he's got potential to be a good big man. May finally be coming into his own...
Outside of T-Time and Armstrong, some other guys I'm keeping my eye on (and wouldn't mind if they fell into the Knicks lap at 29) are:
(1) Hassan Adams (Jumper needs a little work but man is Hot Sauce tough as nails or what? What can't he do? He was even showing a well-developed off-hand in close against the Bruins which impressed me. Would easily play over Quentin Richardson right now.)
(2) JP Batista (I saw the Gonzaga/St. Joseph's game on ESPN last week where he was unstoppable. I think he hit every shot he took. Came up HUGE when Morrison had an off-night shooting. In case they ever second guessed giving up on Mike Sweetney, this could be the guy to replace what he brought to the table - another big wide load post presence. They probably would go in a different direction though.)
(3) Aaron Afflalo (Absolutely in love with this kid's game. They kept comparing him to Kobe in the Arizona game which is a little crazy, but he can really ball. I like him better than Adams, as a matter of fact. 2 years younger than Hot Sauce. Only a sophmore, might not declare until 2007. Huge in the win against the Wildcats - UCLA finally gets a win in Arizona. Hell, he even had a game won in Arizona last year before Salim Stoudamire drilled that long 3 from the top to win it. In fact, I love all of Afflalo's teammates, particularly Josh Shipp, Darren Collison, and Lorenzo Mata. UCLA is gonna be a tough out in March, trust me.)
(4) Dee Brown/James Augustine (really liked both up until that Iowa game. Both had terrible games and appeared to get rattled when calls didn't go their way [Augustine] or when their shots weren't falling [Brown]. Dee Brown really fell apart in that game. If his shot isn't falling his whole game suffers, it looks like. The game before that, they both played awesome against Michigan State, especially Brown who was unstoppable.)

You have a good eye Finestrg. I totally agree with on your points about Adams. He will probably be the best athlete in this upcomming draft (except for maybe James White who is an extraterestrial athlete). But unlike White, Adams is strong as well. Needs allittle more work on his J and I know one of the biggest knocks on him is his height (6'4)but he plays bigger than that. Besides, Wade is 6'4 and so is McCants. Not saying Adams is going to be the next Wade but I think he can play in this League.

As far as Gay is concerend, I think he's pressing. The coaching staff wants him to be more aggressive offensively and I'm sure he knows he's projectes as one of the top three picks. He's caught in that awkward position of trying to show the NBA his overall game and trying to help his team. Kind of like a senior who has been a good team player for three years, then all of a sudden, as a senior, he wants to show the NBA he can play at that level. While doing so, he plays a little out-of-himself and appears to be playing selfish. Thats whats going on with Gay but the problem is he isn't a senior. Everyone is rushing this kid. Not letting him grow at his own pace. He has all the tools, but he's still a soph. Everyone can;t be Lebron, and come right out of HS and dominate. I don't think Gay is ready yet. Problem is, everyone is telling him he's ready.

I remember seeing Olajuwon as a Sophomore and thinking he was pretty good but nothing that special. By the time his junior year roled around, you coud see the improve ment offensively in his game and could tell, he would be domiant player in the NBA. Gay has all the tools to be an elite player in the NBa, but again, he's not reay yet.

Couldn't agree with you more about Gay. Everyone thinks everyone should be a superstar at 20 nowadays. If they aren't they are a bust. Gay will be a very good NBA player but for now I wish they'd just let him be a college kid.
I just hope that people will like me

With that said, If Gay is there, you have to take him just on potential alone.

Rudy in my mind isnt the best basketball player on Uconn, Marcus Williams is. Rudy is a tweener right now. I sure would not sleep on him with all that physical talent because if he is ABLE to switch it on, take it to the rim more, just be more assertive aggresive and smarter THEN we may be talking adifferent tone, but he just isnt showing it right now.
I will say I believe Hilton just skipped well past 28-29 in the last few games-possibly into the late lottery.

watched the Uconn/Cincy game last night and I was really impressed with James White. I knew he was a spectacular athlete, but I didn't realize he could handle and pass it so well. He has good size 6'7 but is only about 190. I projetc him as a tall 2g. If Roy and Brandon Rush are gone by the time the Knicks pick, I might seriously consider White
