Yeah, definitely Jerome James has to be the worst signing we have made in many years.
I let my hope that it would work out cloud my evaluation of the signing, but it's obvious to everyone now that Isiah made a mistake in signing JJ. It's 20/20 hindsight and no one thought SF would be a weakness but how much better would our record be had we signed Gerald Wallace: 14 PPG, 6 RPG, 2 APG, 2 BPG, 2 SPG

Hey man, at least you see it now. But I don't think anyone could have thought JJ would have been THIS bad. But then again, his career what, 6, 7 and 3 doesn't exactly thrill the nerves. It's like I said, we should have really really looked into signing Dan Gaszurick or Hunter if we really wanted a backup C b/c those guys bring energy and DG is now in more control and playing smarter. But we were relying on James to not only be a solid player, but a friggin' starter, which isn't smart business, given his entire history.

I dont think DG was an option, but i agree about Hunter, we def could have gotten him for less than JJ.

Hunter would have been better than JJ but I can't say I'm devastated we don't have him. Gerald Wallace, however, would make a huge difference. He's better than any of our SFs by a margin of about 10 PPG, 3 RPG, 1.5 SPG, and 1.5 BPG.

Q-rich
Jerome james
=
shnanden andersen and weatherspoon redux actually that s kind of insulting to weatherspoon who could give you double doubles.

i dont think q is a good match for what we have--he needs to play in a pure free flow offense and that will not be here.

jerome james-management has to forget this year with james but start right now to get him to shed 40 pounds for next year. for crying out loud 30mm $ he should adhere to that demand or they should threaten to not pay him for being out of shape--its in the CBA they can stop paying him if they believe he is not in acceptable shape to compete.

So are you ready to admit that your hope has clouded any of your other sycophantic evaluations? Glad to see that you're ready to admit the blatantly obvious now. I can only assume that it was in response to somebody calling you out on another thread about having no cred when you can't admit even the most glaring problems with this team.

ahem...

but seriously there was a whole thread dedicated to James hatcheting people and you guys thought the no-lay-up rule had returned. Nothing strategic about those hits. He is a hack.

At a foul per minute, Big Stiff is gonna have to play some serious ball for 6 minutes a night to win that award.

Berman in the Post:
Thomas' two young-veteran summer acquisitions have been embarrassments — Quentin Richardson, a physical and mental wreck, and clumsy center Jerome James, who sometimes looks as if he picked up the sport last month. In Milwaukee, James committed three fouls in two minutes.

i don't people appreciate the intricacies and "small" things james does when he's on the court...things like licking the bbq sauce off his jersey before getting back on defense...or ordering a pizza after a rebound.

like you said marv, we're ALL in the big game's world and some of us just don't know it yet.
