Listen, good PFs are hard to get in this league, but Mo was obtained before Curry, AD, JJ, Frye and Lee. lets just say that at the time it was unlikely we'd get Curry, and unlikely that our draft pick (Frye) would emerge as quickly as he has, thus in the presumed absence of Kurt Mo would likely have been our starting PF this year.

Some may not like the thought of that, but you have to consider that the only alternative, at the time of the trade, would have been Malik.

i was upset, not only b/c we gave up a pick AND two expiring deals this year, BUT more importantly, we had sweetney, who at that point, did not get the minutes for us to fully evaluate his place on our team.

Doh, I forgot about Sweets, my bad.

But rebounds aside, Sweets is like an undersized Curry in that he plays like a center. He can't really pop from the outside to play the pick and roll, nor can he guard the nimble PFs on the perimeter. I like Sweets but he seems like another limited guy you have to platoon.

Patrick Ewing said Mo Taylor was unstopable in practice so Isiah went out and got him.
I want to leave something that's going to stand for a long timeI want to leave a legacy,I want to leave tradition.I want to leave an imprint,a blueprint in terms of how people play, and how they coach and how they respond when they put on the Knick uni.

But it sure does sound like you are blaming Steph for the Mo T trade. Maybe Jamal told Dolan.....wait, let me think of something. I'll be back.

I know why there's a cap, b/c it levels the playing field, but that's the point. It IS in place. Therefore it matters. Layden and Isiah have completely disregarded it's presence.

The fact that it exists does not mean it matters.

There is this thing called international law and yet the U.S. ruling class has invaded Iraq and been there for over 3 years now.

Racial profiling is illegal, but I still have been stopped and herassed an unconscionable amount of times in my life.

Feel me?

The cap matters......
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
