Dear Scott,

Knick fans probably never will appreciate how strong and steadfast you were as GM. You probably tried at ever step to do the right thing and rebuild, but Dolan said no- we must win now. And you tried to bring in winners, even when you probably knew it would have been better to keep or acquire draft picks. And you kept working for Dolan, even when you knew he was the reason for the loosing basketball, the overpriced-undertalented teams. But you stayed on, almost like a captain on a sinking ship, but maybe more like a dog that stays, even when it is beaten by its owner.

So thank you for trying.
