NO team has ever traded two lottery picks for any player EVER, not counting sweetney and 2 2's.
So it's already guaranteed that we're gonna be a lottery team this year and next? Also, a late lottery pick next year (around 14, 15) would qualify as a late 1st rd pick when there were fewer teams. How many teams gave up 2 late first rd picks in deals?

Reasons not to worry:

He's 22.

He's a legit Center.

He's already a semi-dominant scorer.

He seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

He's being coached by Larry Brown.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Change the age to 20 and center to small forward and you'd have roughly the exact same thing they said about Tim Thomas in Philly

atlanta had 30mm in cap room, if they were interested in eddy curry, they would have eddy curry. they brought him in for a visit which he cut short because he had tickets to a music event. what sane GM would tunr their back on such on a good player well, none of the tams that had cap room even offered him a penny, knowing that chiago wasnt going to match because he refused to take any dna test. you can make up stuff all you want, thats the reality.

this is all moot eddy curry better get his fat arse in shape before we give up two yop 5 picks two number 2s and sweetney. actually i went back in nba history and found out NO team has ever traded two lottery picks for any player EVER, not counting sweetney and 2 2's. this is a benchmark trade and for all that what has eddy curry done in the nba--not much

NY Knick fans have to hope eddy curry finds a work ethic and cahones if he does that well save face. if not if this turns into something where they get morrison oden and sweetney

ah, I heard that, actually it was something his wife had to attend, anyway that is overblown, the hawks invited guys like kenyon to come visit and were going to offer him the max, he blew the hawks and the free meal off, so did Dalembert... So whats the big deal, eddy came for the free stuff... like you wouldn't... again you tend to overblow situations to fit your argument....

Are you really nit-picking over the fact that he turned 23 2 weeks ago? And how can you not agree that he's a semi-dominant scorer? He puts up a lot of pts in his playing time, shoots a high percentage, and draws a lot of fouls. Why is that not semi-dominant?

Because they don't agree with what they've seen from Curry in a whopping 20 games that he's played so far this year. Him working Brown and Aguirre alone makes me happy about his future.

I agree. It's not like we could pull off a deal like VCs. It was widely regarded that the raps got served.

I hope you are not comparing Eddie Curry and Vince Carter because you'll look mighty dumb, but beside the point, Eddie Curry was a FRRE AGENT meaning ANY team with cap space could have offered him--NO one did--his OWN team WAS NOT going to sign him unless he passed a DNA test which he was unwilling to give. NO team SIGNED eddy-we were the only team WILLINg to sign him for that amount of $$$$ and also take him with no testing. That being said we OVERCOMPENSATED the BULLS. You can say Eddye Curry is this and that until you are blue in the face, the facts are hes only been a fair NBA player. DWIGHT HOWARd CHRIS BOSH AMNARE STOUDEMIE KG etc...et al all way YOUNGER than him at points of their careers were multiple times BETTER. You sound foolish, like you dont even understand basc concepts here, and stating that Curry is better than Vince carter is assinine.

I don't think he was saying Curry is better, he's saying putting together a package and a contract for Curry is more expensive than it was for Carter, no matter what the situation was with Curry.

thank you for clarifying that for briggs, He often needs help with these types of things. Atlanta wanted curry, but the bulls scared the hawks away, and I can understand that if curry was unrestricted he would probably be in Atlanta, so Briggs if FOS...

This is comming from a guy who changes his opinion with the weather... He immeadeatly takes my post and jumps to the conclusion that I am comparing curry to vince...

and
stating that Curry is better than Vince carter is assinine.

Can someone, anyone finde where I said this? anyone? this just proves that briggs is an extremest, He takes everything to the extreme, even to the point of making things up. No wonder why people think he is nuts....

The fact remains that all the big men that were signed were over paid, relative to what dalembert got and chandler got, curry was compensated correctly, and there are still stipulations to that guaranteed money. Briggs won't mention this because he is too wrapped up into trying to be right...

comparing what it took to get vince carter and curry is ridiculous, two different positions two different situations...

Curry lookerd better offensively on Chicago. I acknowledge as Curry did at the start of the season, that its a big drop-off from playing with a guard like Gordon vs the guys here (and Curry included his main man Crawford in that assessment).
