My problem with Layden stems from the fact that he was building our team around Dice, even after Dice went down with the second knee injury. He was waiting for Dice to come back and save him. Then you add the Utah crap on top of that and bingo

That is a bunch of BS, Layden was never banking the future of the Knicks on Dice, that was the media and you know it.

I have to agree with Bip. Trading your best up-and-coming big guy(Camby) and your lotto pick(Nene) for an end of the round pick and AD did appear as though Layden expected big things from him. Otherwise, what would be the point of trading your best big guy(and Nene) on a bigman deprived team.

I don't care about that, I know what the deal was and Dice was not ment to be a savior, so get over it, and move on!.

Who the hell cares about Layden?!? He deserved to be fired for doing such a bad job as the Knicks GM. Good riddance. The problem is that Isiah decided to compound the problems he inherited instead of trying to fix them. Now we're worse off than the situation that Layden dug for us. We're now $40MM FURTHER over the cap, we've traded away 4 high first round picks with a minimum of 2 that would have been in the lottery and we have even more really long and overpriced contracts that either can't be traded until they're about to expire or can only be traded for other teams bad contracts, just like Layden's bad contracts.

Layden deserved to be fired and Isiah does too. Even moreso for repeating and compounding the mistakes that had already been made.

I'm going to go celebrate this horrible anniversary by sticking pins into my Isiah doll's genitalia.

I think Isiah was fair the other day on the FAN when asked about his grade, he said that he deserves an incomplete right now. He made some bold moves that have implications on our future (i.e. Crawford, Curry) and its still too early to determine if those moves were good or not.

Isiah is probably better suited to be a scout or a player personnel director than a GM.
