were the laughing stock of the NBA. maybe if it takes winning 22 games to get everyone canned and go in a different direction where they bring in players who are intelligent tough and know how to play basketball. eddie curry got his money, do you think that guy cares if we win or lose? he looks lost for a guy who is 6-11 290, he doesnt know how to react or what to do in so many spots on the court and acts to dumb to learn.

In many ways, this team has been the laughing stock of the league ever since JVG quit. This really isn't anything new. Everyone loves to hate NY.

If Curry is lazy how is it that he has improved every year he has been in the league?

How has he improved from last year to this year? Aside from his wallet.

21 games into the season and he's coming off being inactive and various injuries--so it's too early to pass any verdict like that--but as he is getting more minutes he seems to continue being productive for us.

he hasn't, his scoring is down and his rebounding is basically the same, but the official explanation is that he didnt scrimmage during the offseason becuase he didnt have a new contract. another reason I think currys numbers are down is becuase larry brown keeps using him to post up, another thing that might be it is that his mpg is down from last year, but I doubt it.

New coach, new system, horrible point guards...you figure it out--and he's still producing.

Has he? Really? Not to bash him because Im happy he is in NY but, he doesn't seem to have improved a thing from his Bulls days. And yesterday's 23/6 is just one of the few games he has scored that. Most of his games are 10+ with 5+ rebs. And talking about improving, how has he improved his rebounding? Or defense? Or the effort he puts in games? He really needs to work on improving all that...

When Curry plays more than 20 minutes this year he averages 18 and 9...I guess that's not good enough.

Well, he sure isn't if he can't play those many minutes because he is either in foul trouble or a liability on defense...

a little, he played 31 minutes agains the bucks and only put 15/5, he still isnt totally consistant but i guess the season is still too early to say hes regressed, but it doesnt look too good.

^He hasn't played those minutes mostly because he's been hurt. Foul trouble hasn't been an issue this year.

knight does have a point about the downgrade in guards though. and I still hate larry's decision to have him post up and try to draw double teams each game he sucks at it.

I think it looks really good. He's not at full speed yet.

Ohh really? Where were you in some of those first 19 games? In many of the first games he played he was in foul trouble and therefore was a non factor for us. But in others he was just benched because of bad defense, something he has yet to improve...

He has had only 5 fouls in 3 games this year and hasn't fouled out. It was more getting over nagging injuries than anything.

Can you really use the term "full speed" and Curry in the same sentence?

And as for the horrible point guards, isn't that why we gave up 2 first round picks, took back almost $200MM in contracts and gave away a bunch of assets to get *ahem* Starbury, the self proclaimed best PG in the league?

If he's that horrible just 2 years later and with 1 more #1 pick yet to be given up, then Isiah should be fired for that disastrous trade right now.

For a big man he has some quickness. But "full speed" here means healthy.

Look, it is great that Curry has been able to play because with all the talk about his heart sometimes you questioned if he was even going to play a game for the Knicks. That has been a plus. But I don't really think he has improved this season. Maybe its because of Larry, maybe its the PGs, maybe its him, but he really has yet to improve for us. One thing I agree is that he deserves more time before he is judged because he has battled many injuries...

Nobody improves overnight, give Curry the rest of the year and an offseason to work with the Knicks and see what happens.

There are many ways to look at it. One is Hollinger Stats Player Efficiency Rating. League average is 15.00

2002-03 - 17.48
2003-04 - 14.78
2004-05 - 16.22
2005-06 - 17.20

Is that for Curry?

Yes
