It's always funny to read the different posts month to month because so many posters change their point of view from what they were so adamant about the month before. First it's all right to rebuild, then "you can't rebuild in New York". Then it was get Curry by any means necessary, now it's Curry sucks he has no BB IQ. It's the old adage "they argue just to argue"...Just my observation

As for my thoughts I think LB is doing a horrible job coaching and alienating the players considering he was suppose to be the glue to gell this team together being a HOF coach and in the game for so long. If this was going to be the case they should have just left Herb as coach. When LB took the job he knew he was going to have Starbury and all of his faults. Then he asks him to play point did he not know he would play with the "I'll show him attitude" and just go through the motions. I think we all thought after the draft and getting Curry this would be a decent team. I thought for sure they would at least be able to slide into the eighth spot for the playoffs. Now we still might be able to get there but were a long way from it and it looks like LB won’t be settling on a lineup until after all-star break or next year.

Given all of that, if this team played with some heart and hustle I think a lot of us would be more forgiving of what's happening. They play so disinterested and lackadaisical that it's hard to really get into it. How can this be a good lesson for the young guys to be learning. If we are going with them and losing lets change up and play a more up style tempo, hustle put in a press on defense anything to use those young legs and subs. Larry was brought in to teach in practice and make good game decisions, I can't speak for practice but what I see on the court in games from the way he substitutes to game to game match ups makes me scratch my head and think "are we watching the same game". Not sure if LB is the right on court coach for this team as it's put together now. It seems he's trying to teach and prove a point during the games and it's making the players unsure of themselves as well as their game which makes it hard to watch. If were going to lose lets lose with people knowing their roles and playing with some effort and hustle on a consistent basis.

listen, I don't think it matters who we play/start as long as they play hard. if you come off the bench, play 20 minutes play 40 minutes--if you play hard and play smart, things take care of themselves
these guys look disinterested--you're right--to me thats no pride coming from the player--no one else

i dont believe that this is a rebuild, if they want to say we tried to move the roster younger, I will go with that becaue that is what I see. Just dont bs the fan with the rod rebuild. I could take a rebuild--rebuilding to me is 2-3 high lottery picks that you have personally picked do form a core/style of play for the future and ad ins from there.

the one reason why i wanted bynum is because i thought hed be the best player in the draft in 3 yEARS--because thats how long I thought it would take to get a couple of more high picks and maybe try to look at the cap. but we have continually brought in the mo taylors the jerome james the malik roses and thats NOT rebuilding.

so how many teams, according to your def of rebuilding, have rebuilt like this? how many teams have a core of lottery picks that they picked?

it really isnt a rebuilding effort per se, we have so much payroll and no real possibility of high draft picks for 4 years--were the only team that has no chance at greg oden even before next year were trapped with a low IQ team that lacks fundamental yadayada i dont want to say it again. i wish i could see a glimmer of hope.

spurs perfect example--when have they ever made an impact trade? none.
did the bulls make an impact trade---no drafted pippen jordan grant
lakers basicaly drafted kobe and had cap space for shaq

most teams who win draft their core except detroit although they do have a key starter there.
Im not saying you cant do it, but tell me another team who has used this busines model of taking back sht players to get a guy? no one except dallas for awhile.

There is no fact that it was our no. 1 pick or Lee? Not in those words was it? Was it a no. 1 pick?

The decision to give up the pick and keep Lee could end up costing Isiah his job.

I don't think LB is being to harsh. These are grown men, suck it up and learn the game. We don't win championships with babies.

You guys are missing the point. LB was brought here to turn the New York Knicks aroudn and possibly into championship contenders. Allow me to write it more clearly. LB was brought to turn the Knicks franchise around, not Marbury or Crawford or anyone else. Those that can't figure out LB's system will be jettisoned. LB has won. These guys have not. It's LB's team. If they can't adjust get them out of here. That is how you win championships.
I just hope that people will like me

Ding Ding Ding. We have a winner. Thankyou Bippity, I've been making this point for a few days now.
