I could care less about the experts. We got plenty of guys on this board who know just as much and watch just as much as them. Josh Boone, Rudy Gay, all of them are supposed to be really good, and I've seen both of those guys a # of times. Don't go by what the experts say, b/c those same experts said that Channing Frye was going to be a major bust.

Are those guys going to be around at #25 where Dallas's pick will be? If not, they're hardly relevant to this trade discussion

I'm not saying they would trade Harris or even want Marbury. What I am saying is that if you want to trade Marbury for KVH and that #25 pick, you BETTER be giving me either Devin Harris or Josh Howard. If not, maybe we'll do business some other time.

I haven't been that impressed with Harris, but I WOULD give a lot of thought to the deal if it included Josh Howard and we're still a bad team by the trade deadline.

No, not at #1. My bad, I was thinking #1 overall pick. If you look at my post on the other thread, you'll see that I would never trade Marbury for just van horn and that crappy pick. If we trade Marbury for a pick, I want it to be a pick where we will have a chance to have the #1 overall pick in the Greg Oden draft, which is obviously no sure thing. Yet like I said, if we do Marbury for Van Horn and their pick, give me either Harris or Howard.

Maybe we're a bad team by the trade dealine, but in maybe a year or 2 from now, a starting lineup of Crawford
whatever shooting guard
Howard
Frye
Curry

looks mighty mighty sexy, wouldn't you say?

Experts are sometimes wrong about individual players like CV and Frye, but they're usually not 180 degrees off when judging an entire draft class. I can't think of any examples where there was such unanamous agreement that a draft was weaker than average (despite having some nice talent) and the prediction turned out completely wrong.
