Gordon is awesome, but... do we need him? I just think that, as you have said many times, we gave too much in the Curry trade, and we really can't do anything but pray Larry Brown plays the young ones, because it does not matter if we win or lose since we don't have our own pick this year. But I don't think trades are the solution this year. We have 11 useful players in James, Curry, Butler, Frye, Taylor, Woods, Ariza, Richardson, Crawford, Marbury and Robinson. We just have to play them to KNOW how bad we are. The rest of the team is ....useless to me, but I don't think we can't get anything that can really help us by trading them.

I think they need to rehab Stephs image, get his stats up - and ship him out. I just dont see this team surviving with him as the SG....PG maybe - but either way someone has to get traded to bring in a true SG. We have our bigs - Curry and Frye will be awesome for us. Now we need an impact SG, a serviceable SF - I think Q will be fine but I know a lot of people dont like him - and a decent PG.

Would you try and get a sf or sg straight up for marbury, or go for an expiring deal or lesser player + #1 2007? (assuming we could trick a gm into taking him)

mo pete, mo williams, mike james...all nice little tweaks but the problem is that we can't make simple tweaks b/c we pay everybody like $6+ million dollars. the only guys we have on the roster making less than the MLE are the rookies. disgusting. so let's say we're trying to make the playoffs and we need one little piece...like a mo pete, you can't make the deal b/c there's no salary match. we have to make it bigger by throwing in expiring deals and thus re-living the cap hell cycle.
