i buried my best friend yesterday who put up a great fight against brain cancer for 15 months. i got to be with him the night he died and i got to address the congregation yesterday. it was a lot of consolation to be with his other friends and family and to just talk and talk and talk our memories of him. i took the great advice of caseloads and fishmike and others here and loved him while he was here and appreciated every moment and every day. and that's what i plan on continuing to do. and if i can stay up tonight (i'm a little burned out but i'm gonna try) i'll tune in and watch us take on phoenix. that's life too.
I'm terribly sorry about you losing your best friend, I can't imagine your grief. My condolences to you and his family.
I'm sure your being near in his last hours was a great comfort to him, as were your words to his family.
My best wishes to you, try to keep your head up.
