I guess Brown, Isaiah, and Dolan agree on the thing that this year will be no playoff and it will be used to develop young players, balance the roster and establish the team identity.

wow...no playoff? then why in the blue hell did we give up an unprotected #1 pick? not making the playoffs would be an unmitigated DISASTER for us.

This forum is sometimes sick...
Everybody was preaching for rebuilding and making a contender team. Adding the young players, new system and bla... bla... bla...
So how the hell you can do all this without missing the playoffs for couple of years. You are dreamers. We was trying to go dreamers way for 5 years and what we had at the end - bunch of crup.

Why? Even if we miss the playoffs but would have gotten the 10th pick I rather have Curry. As its been said many times- curry is 23yrs old , coming out of college he would be a top 1-2 pick. Some people are never happy and love to 2nd guess every move.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

I don't think we are doormats and get a top 5 lotto pick.

We are not out of playoffs and can still make a hell of a late run.

We are competitive in most games. Is there a better young center that would be better than Curry? Even if we give up a lotto, really whats the difference? I'll answer that. How we such will make a difference. If we start putting it togeteer late and we just miss, I can live with that. If we are pathetic losers with no upside and no foundation then we pay dearly in the future.

We ok going forward, its just a matter of when.

The Knicks are going forward. Frye has exceeded expectations and he has earned a spot in the rotation. As for the team's identity, Brown said in November that it would take some time to establish a starting lineup and a rotation. The other teams in the Atlantic Division have also been very inconsistent. In spite of the 6-12 start, the Knicks are only a few games out of first place.

Why we lost? Its definately not because the clipps are better. If the clipps had maggette then they are a dangerous team but not without him. We lost cause the clippers finally made their run and instead of feeding what works marbury especially started going for self. That is a losing combination.

Still I think Larry brown should take just as much blame. I thought he was starting to solidify his line ups but it seems like things haven't changed.

Marbury and Crawford combined 4 - 26 from the field

Not enough Frye, Jackie Butler

Too much Marbury pounding the ball

No Mister Lee with ball movement

Too much Rose

WE don't always Lose the game, sometimes the other team is better and/or plays better to Win!

I agree with knights brilliant short answer.

We lose becasue Jerome James did not play? Wow, we then really suck! Maybe JJ was worn out from the nite before? Kaman is far to mobile for some of our bigs.

Curry actually playing in the 4th is a landmark event for us! He was not hurt, not in severe foul trouble and able! This landmark event must happen. He must miss foulshots in the 4th before he progresses and does hit them. He must play in crunch time to become a clutch player! It does not happen at once.

This rotation of players is a big old classroom on wheels where winnig is secondary. There is a larger objective than winning early games right a wasy. There is a larger prize that is likely 2-3 years away, and while I don't understand everything, I can see the logic of Larry.

Motto:

I can understand that any other day of the week, but not on that loss. We had the game. We survived the third quarter because of defense. But then in the fourth it all came apart, both defense and offense. While the Clippers are a good team, the Knicks aren't a bad one. They are just, as you put it, learning. Seeing the whole picture it is great because we are learning now to be a great team in the near future. But it still doesn't makes up for the fact that we let another game slip away, and one where we played great for three quarters against a good team. Its tough because I see this team and they aren't as bad as their record shows. They always have one part of the game where all falls apart and never recover. Its tough. But, oh well, this is a transition year, the one where Larry establishes his knowledge. We aren't supposed to win now, but... you still want them to as a fan....
