there is none... trust me. You live life to the fullest and remember love and family are the most important things.

Ive seen enough tough stuff to know that "everything happens for a reason" and "god works in mysterious ways" are the two biggest loads of crap ever uttered by human lips.

yeah. Religion is the opiate of the masses, but some people NEED something to hold onto.
I am not one of those people.

I feel you guys on your comments. That's as real as it gets......but at the same time my God bless Lee Jr. and the Richardson family.

That's terrible news. Hope the family pulls through this.

Not trying to be insensitive, but this guy is definitely Tim Thomas 05

You know saying that would be insensitive so why would you post it?

Timmy still found the time to screw his marriage up and father a child and make the mother and new baby homeless.

Timmy wasn't hurt.

Q has been hurt and now his brother was murdered.....and his father's life was also in danger. I hope we don't see Q for a while but this is totally not the same thing as faggot ass Tim Thomas.

Opiates numb the pain, that's why religion or some higher values are necessary and that's why that quote wasn't meant to be derogatory of religion. Without any higher values life is meaningless suffering and unbearable.

you must not be very well acquainted with the author of that quote. Its Karl Marx, fyi, and yes it was meant to be derogatory.

Opiates numb pain, but do not cure the source of the pain. In that way they make things worse. It was an analogy for how workers suffer, but use religion to find 'meaning' in their suffering, which stops them from fighting back against the source of their suffering.

Tragedy again strikes NBA star's family

Just last month, the Richardson kids gathered for Thanksgiving at the home of their famous brother, New York Knicks star Quentin Richardson.

They're a close bunch, and family photos show it -- Quentin bearhugging big brother Lee, a beaming Rochelle standing proud with her brothers, Lee nudging into a shot at the last minute with a goofy smile.

Their bond was so strong, the family says, because of tragedy in 1992, when their brother Bernard was shot and killed on a Chicago street at the age of 23.

On Tuesday, the family gathered once again to support each other after the death of another brother -- Lee, an aspiring music producer who was killed in a noonday shooting Monday while his father Lee Richardson Sr. watched.

The robbery happened in front of the family home in the city's Sheldon Heights neighborhood, where most of the kids were raised.

"I don't believe I am doing this again,'' Rochelle Richardson said, head in her hands, at her father's home in Flossmoor.

"He was everything. It's hard to believe how hard it hurts. ... We can't argue with God. And after it's all said and done we belong to him anyway

This is very sad, and all my prayers go to Q and his family. I don't know about religion, but I know that God exists and I hope he blesses them in this tough moment...

My well wishes go out to the family at this time also. For Q to lose another brother in a senseless act and also to his father to watch his son get gunned down and not be able to do anything is tragic. Another reminder of how short life is and how some have come to devalue the price of another man's life. We hear it all the time with great frequency in the news but we have become so desensitized to it unless it happens to us or close to home.

Q's brother is just one of many that has fallen, it's unfortunate but life continues on. Some of us will never know that feeling of a loved one being murdered while others (like Q’s family) feel it not once but twice...senseless but this is the world today
