I'm sure LA would want plenty of our guys. The question is this. Would we want to give up some of those guys for Odom? We might have to give up Marbury for him. Would you be willing to do that? Maybe even part with Frye? They can't touch Frye, but I'd be willing to talk Marbury. It would be a very interesting trade in the long run. Nate, Crawford, Odom, Frye and Curry???

Odom's inconsistent. There are players I'd give up Marbury for, but not Odom. It would have to be an all-star or someone likely to be at an all-star level in their prime. I wouldn't give up Frye for him either. I wanna see what Curry can give us this year and then next year after he works for a full offseason with our team before trading him unless it's part of a package where we get an all-star. I'd give up any other players for him, though. There are plenty of other players I'd prefer, but if those plans don't go through, I'd give up both expiring contracts for Odom and Brian Grant.

Not the kinda trade I would like to do for Marbury. Odom is not that good and he is better suited at PF taking minutes away from Frye. The only trade involving Marbury that would benefit us would be for expiring contracts & draft picks so we can be under the cap or if we can do a trade for an unknown player like the stackhouse for ben wallace trade. Odom would not help our mediocrity issues.

Odom is a defective player who does not get it. We have enough guys we are trying to get right.

After 14-15 games one might presume the lakes are not quite that impatient. If they believe he is not "trainable", then he does not belong here either!.

No more underachieveing overpaid dudes anymore! Long ago we talked about getting blue chip players and look how nice our rookies are taking to the NBA! Good solid players on and off the court whom were commited to a program, commited to getting better, and still have good potential. No more potential immature divas! Add Rose and AD to guys who are playing well in support roles and commited to the team concept.

We are not contenders and thus don't need any of those guys. If they can come real cheap, thats fine. Peja would need to be resigned, as would harrington. Unless we are doing a salary dump, Im not sure we want to pay big money to these guys.

Amen! we need either an elite legitimate superstar or just get more draft picks like Frye who are just as good if not better than odom, big Al & Peja and a heck of a lot cheaper! I would trade Marbury in a second for the cap room and the chance at drafting some more Channing Frye's and building a legit contender!

Marbury isn't gonna be traded anytime soon. And I'm not saying that from a personal POV. I'm saying that b/c its the truth.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Peja?

Brown would HATE him. HATE.
Seems like it, but doesn't mean we shouldn't at least think about it. The real question with all of these guys is how good would he make us vs. the cost of getting him and re-signing him.
Lewis?

Brown would get annoyed with his chucking. But he's so freakin talented and athletic he's not a guy you pass up.
Disagree. Lewis is tough and I think he could fit in really nicely.
Hedo Turbo-Glue?

He's cheap and doesn't need to do much. The key is our 3's suck. Hedo makes like 6.5 per and
can give us 10-15 ppg. It makes sense at that salary.
Lamar Odom?

What makes you think we have what LA wants?
Reading is fundamental.

Hedo would be an improvement over Q since he can do other things. Q will never be the player he was in LAC and he wasn't even that good then. He was a 39% shooter than eventhough he posted up a little more. You can't post up with a bad back. Just look at LJ. He became a 3pt shooter because of his back. Someone brought up a good point about how Quentin's 3's are all bail out 3's because the offense has no movement when he's out there. And guys get by him. the back doesn't help him stay in front of guys. We need to come up with a trade to get us an upgrade at the SG/SF position. Someone who can shoot, move around and play a little defense. We're going to need a guy like that off the bench if Crawford is starting.

Brown would HATE Turbo-Glu.

He would hate him so much, they would arrest for committing a hate crime.

And Lewis -- tough?

He's a black Peja. He's injured all the time, and averages like 6 rebounds per game. Q is 6-6 and averages the same...

You are crazy!!!!!!!
Lewis is a much tougher player than Peja, he plays solid defense too.

Lewis - solid defense?

Hardly. He's just as lazy as Peja is. Only difference is he's more athletic so he can rely on that at times

I've watched Lewis.

He's lazy on defense at times. Poor rebounder for his height. But overall, he's so athletic and skilled I couldn't pass him up.

Phil Jackson doesn't like Marbury's game. No way he is trading for him.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Turkoglu and Mason aren't as good as TT. Why would we want them? Mason can play some defense, but he might be a better backup guard.

Neither makes as much as TT either. They make half what he makes with the same effectiveness or more. I'll take that any day.

I thought the idea was to win. We traded TT and now have no SF. Even Walton said as much tonight. Q and Ariza aren't the answer.

That doesn't sound like Peja. Peja is a horrendous efender.
