If the Draft were tomorrow, knowing all we know, who would be Milwaukee's Pick? Remembering they have TJ Ford healthy and playing well. And the inside word on the street has Frye as rookie of the month.
Andrew Bogut, still the #1 pick
Chris Paul, Draft Talent Regardless of need
Channing Frye, So Far The Most Proven Big
Andrew Bynum, Youth Is A Drug And You Cant Get Enough

I was referring more to how he is used. He was drafted as a center and he's being used as a versatile PF by LB.

Bogut is being used as a center and is being moved on and off the bench. If Bogut were here in New York I don't think LB plays him as he plays Frye, conversely for the bucks.

They are using him as a conventional center, and that's what they feel is necessary.

Zeke feels otherwise, and LB is putting him in better positions to succeed early.

The bucks have bogut playing like bogut...also, don't discount how good a couch Frye had in Arizona as well.

I'm not saying frye isn't good, I'm saying that the bucks would not have gotten this much out of him so soon.

I don't want to disagree with everything you say, but i must disagree with everything you say. If he played for Milwaukee it would be even worse for other teams because TJ Ford would find him open all the time because he runs the court better than Bogut. And with Michael clearing out the lane I would see him averaging more than he's averaging now.

I haven't seen bogut play much- but he is looking like a divac to me- great team player, but, to some extent, a role player.

frye is an impact player- he gets his shot off in the course of the offense and is aggressive-

I mean if you had to judge based on just what we have seen of the two players thus far, its frye and its not close.

I probably take Bogut. Over a year younger than Frye and is built alot stronger--he can muscle around the Rasheed Wallace types. Those players are more difficult to stop. If you play on a team with Michael Redd, Bobby Simmons, TJ Ford, Mo Williams, Toni Kukoc, etc., you're not exactly going to be the first option on offense.

I wouldnt think a guy playing with Stephon Marbury, Jamal Crawford, Eddie Curry and the likes would be a top option either, but Frye seems to still be producing. And as far as being a year older, they are both NBA rookies and I dont think that year means anything. Bogut does get points for having the beef to defend some of the bigger posts in the league though. That being said, lets not forget all the big bangers Channing might guard in the post still have to step out on the floor and guard him too.

We don't have many options to score the ball, Milwaukee does, that's the difference.

Chris Paul, looks like hes gonna be a superstar in the league starting next year - he's already one of the best point guards in the league.

I dont care about players first 10 games JDub.. geez, I can't believe we're basing players abilities on 10 freaking games in the NBA. Everyone takes so much offense on this board when someone thinks that Bogut is better than Frye. I love Frye, but I think Bogut is the better player and has better skills. 10 games doesn't tell you a thing.

At some point you have to start to. I mean, you are now assuming that Bogut will not only get better than Frye but also every other big in the league. When teams play zone defense please explain to me how he will get off good shots. The time where he does his scoring he is knocking down shots from about 15 feet away like Frye. Everyone talks about how he has a strong post presence but he also picks up offensive fouls like Curry.

I like what Charlie V is doing and I wanted him and Frye, or him and Green if Isiah went that way. But to be honest, Charlie V is benefiting from playing with Bosh. That's the thing about Frye he is not benefiting from playing with no one. He puts on points when Curry is on and off the court. The same with Marbury and Crawford. That is my measuring stick. At times he demands a double team (a rookie who isn't Shaq) is getting double. That is impressive. Too bad the Knicks don't have real shooters on this team.
