ACL surgery is usually very successful after about a year. This would be a poor gamble for Denver.

depends. Look around the league. Curry, Chandler, Dalembert, Dampier, Foyal... the market for middle tier bigmen is still lucrative. I would say its not only possible but likely that if Nene is able to play 1 injury free season and put up something in the 12/8/1.5 blocks range that someone will offer him a similar contract when you factor in his size and youth.

Now they are on the books for $41mm and thats if they let Dre Miller walk who is a big part of what they do. You figure Melo will get max money also so Q may make more fiscal sense than Nene and his fills a need.

it will be tough to get a 1st for Q due to his early struggles this year. Who knows if he would even pass some team physicals right now.

Nene is A LOT more than a replacement for AD.

the only trade with denver that makes sense is quentin richardson, and jackie butler, for earl watson and julius hodge, it works under the cap and makes sense for both teams, but since butler is a project, and not a fully developed frontcourt player denver might not make this trade.
