Just say NO to picking up Hawks players? They already use to losing.

Do I like this trade I worked on? No, I don't. Do I think its feasible? Maybe if Isiah is serious about trading Steph away but either way this is the only deal I could find. It works under the CBA if anyone wants to check. Trade ID:2643883 on http://www.realgm.com

New York Recieves:
Al Harrington
Tyronne Lue
Earl Watson
Vashon Leonard
2006 Atlanta 1st Round pick. Lottery protected spots 1-3.

Atlanta Recieves:
Stephon Marbury
Matt Barnes

Denver Recieves:
Malik Rose
Tony Delk

Once the trade is through, I would give Leonard the ax and this way the Knicks get a PG in Watson and a quality scoring SF in Harrington. Again, I dont think I would make this trade but the Knicks need a PG, Denver has too many and Atlanta is about the only place Marbury can go right now, the fans love him, they'll become a playoff team with the pieces they already have and they'll make a ton of money off merchandise sales of his jerseys. I'd much rather slide Marbury over to the 2 and bring in a Watson to run the point instead but I don't know how realistic that is right now. This is all just a thought...

I'm not too high on it myself either Boo. I'm just playing devils advocate with this deal. One thing it would do is cut alot of salary cap space and the Knicks would get a pretty good draft pick out of it this year. I just don't know who else would want Steph at this point other then Atlanta.

Let me jump off of Marbury's bandwagon real fast and think about this. It might just work if you can take Lue out of the deal because with Jamal, Earl and Nate there is no need for Lue. Lenard is kind of consistent from behind the three point line so that would give us another dude who is kind of good from the perimeter. Then there is the Al Harrington factor. I think Atlanta made mistake signing him to a long term contract because he is more of a complimentary player than a star. Al would be a good fit for our team because he is still relativly young and he's familar to Isiah and Aguirre. I think if we were to do this trade we also need to do the Jalen Rose for Hardaway trade just to make sure we don't fall off too much. That would leave us with

PG- Nate/Jamal/Watson
SG- Jalen/Lenard/Richardson
Sf- Harrington/Richardson/Jalen
PF- Frye/Lee/Davis/Taylor
C- Curry/Butler/James

I still would rather see us ride the storm out, but if the deadline is fast approaching and we can't get close to .500 then yeah I would do it.

A team that's one strong guard away from contending should be interested in Marbury. I can't see Atlanta wanting his huge contract just to possibly make the playoffs.

Jamal would really have to step his game up too.

If we do that, I want Harrington, a first round pick, top 5 protected for atlanta, and josh smith... they won't do that, but that is what I would want back..

thats exactly what we should get back and I think we would since Atlanta is not too high on Smith and don't really need Harrington but could really use a star PG and they don't need yet another draft pick. They need someone who can draw fans like Marbury. Marbury will draw a ton of fans down in HOTTlanta

Looking for you, as in what. I wasn't at home while watching the last game, I was at a buddies house.

If this is about Marbury(AGAIN) I've had enough arguing with you, you use the same hater-argument every single time about Steph. You've never complimented him once which is why it's useless to argue with you about him. Is Steph having some trouble right now? You damn straight he is,but he's going to come out of this a better player. Is it obvious the Knicks need someone else to run the PG and let Steph move to the 2? Yeah it is, I'd be all for any move like that. Until that happens I'm going to hope that Stepth along with the rest of the team start to get more comfortable under Larry and play better and win some damn games instead of doing what you do; Root for Marbury to fail.

wasn't it you who posted after the Utah game about my absence.

I don't root for Steph to fail. I root for Steph to change or for IT to change his uniform.

My bad for the misunderstanding. That's about as close to a Marbury compliment anyone is going to get from you. CHEERS Lets hope tomorrows game brings us a W and a more fluid offense.
