The Kings dominated the Jazz and we dominated the Kings....END OF DISCUSSION

Not really. We didn't dominate the Kings.

Maybe becase Knicks fans wanted to see the team improve and win another game. I know some think it's a crime, but it's usually the norm on a Knicks board.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

But you can't really judge improvement against that bad of a team.

You're saying you're talking about how proud everyone is of the win, but previously you were talking about what the Knicks SHOULD have done, i.e. saying that the manner in which we won actually reflects poorly on the team itself. That you are retreating now from that latter route hopefully means that you've abandoned that bit of poor reasoning.

As for fans' reactions, did people overreact to the win? Maybe, but so what. When you go to a Knicks game do you tell the guys in your section to pipe down when a guy hits a wide open jumper? Maybe they should put you up on the loudspeaker to calm everyone down if the crowd gets excited.

Scoring 73 in that game does reflect poorly on us.

I can only imagine how poorly Detroit's 72 points against the Atlanta Hawks reflected on them last season. Wow, that team must have been terrible.

but you can't criticize a team either for beating a bad team in a game where the outcome was hardly ever in doubt.

Why not? Watching ball movement, team offensive/defensive movement, communication, etc. are areas where improvemnt could be noticed regardless of the opposition.

We held them to 29% shooting. Sac allowed 39% shooting. That's nothing to sneeze at. If you allow a team to shoot 50%, it's considered bad defense; go 10 percentage points lower to 40% and it's very good, maybe even great defense.

When you get laid, do you sit down with your woman afterwards and tell her everything she did wrong and insist that it really wasn't that good? If you find a $5 on the floor, do you lament that it's not a $20 and complain how dirty and beat up it is? Do you have chronically low levels of serotonin and/or endogenous opioids circulating through that brain of yours? Just curious.

McDyess and Rasheed were out that game. Atl had Toine and talent on that team.

OK, so if we ever have a key injury or two, we will be totally excused for losses to bad teams? Can I hold you to that?

I'm talking about the Knicks and Jazz. I was just pointing out that you didn't do all of your homework.

I also seem to recall the Pistons winning the NBA Title in slugfests.

Let's also add the fact that the Knicks have been a horrific back-to-back game team for years. Typically we lose the next game after a good showing the first night. So we beat a 50 win Sac. team on the road, and then come back the next night and beat a beat up Jazz team who one thinks we should beat, but you know the Knicks history, and the start to this season where we were losing every game we were allegedly 'suppossed' to win.

Anyone who thinks the win is an indication of championship potential is going too far, but to see it as a step in the right direction is by no means an exxageration, and plenty of reason to be hopeful. If you only see the negatives, then that's all you'll ever see.

I do think the Knicks have plenty to work on.

The Free-Throw shooting is atrocious. Curry needs to develop a better post game than that ugly hook shot. Craw needs to purge the bad shot selection from his system. Nate needs to get under control. Our offense, in general, needs more fluidity, etc.

We're not great or even good yet, but I think there's nothing wrong with seeing hope after the past two games near the end of the seasonal West Coast swing (where we typically stink it up), after starting 0-5, with a brand new coach and many new players.

It was a good win last night. Any win on the road is a good win. Any win on the second set of back to backs is good. Any win on a second set of back to backs ON THE ROAD is good. Anytime you win both sets in back to backs, on the road is good. But it was just a regular season win and not a championship. It's time for the almighty Lakers.

On a sidenote, I don't consider Sacratomato to be a bad team. I am sorry, but if you think a team with Bibby, Peja, Shareef and a bunch of solid role players is bad, you don't know basketball. The Kings will get it together. Maybe they wont be dominant like they once were, but they'll get it together and I'm sure they'll make the playoffs.

I was both thrilled and proud of the Knicks win overe the lowly Jazz...

Curry had 10 points, 9 Rebounds, 5 Blocks, and a steal...
Jamal Crawford was well adjusted to the system...
Marbury's Defense was awesome...
We held them to 8 freakin points in the 3rd Quarter for Petes Sake...

Damn right I'm excited about the W!

lol. So you won't man up. That's cool.

Let's recap: It is completely acceptable for a defending champion missing a couple of players to score 72 points and LOSE, at home no less, to an attrocious lottery team; but it reflects poorly on a healthy, borderline playoff/lottery team to score 72 points and WIN, *on the road*, to a possible lottery team. Gotcha.

Thanks for destroying your credibility for me. Too easy.

I wasn't going for laughs. I was making a point. I am honestly concerned about your mental well being. You are either not right in the head, or rather slow intellectually, or a troll. Or some combination thereof. You be the judge.

You miss the point. Two different games, two different outcomes, two different rosters, your analogy is garbage. Everyone has an off night, seeing how good the Pistons are, you knew that game was an aberration. With us, our resume was 1-5 and we scored 73 pts against an awful team. Try again.
