Frye isn't quite as dynamic as Sheed and I don't think he has that "nasty streak" to him.

But his game is def. a cross b/w him and Duncan. I'm impressed so far with his rebounding.

I remember we all thought after preseason he would be a poor rebounder.

Kudos to you Fryeman.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

sheed was an idiotic crackhead...don't confuse that with nasty streak.

frye has a little bit of a nasty streak in him. he plays aggressive and doesn't really give a f ck. don't let his babyface fool you. he demands the ball aggressively. i'm kinda pumped to see what he can turn into.

lol.

Frye's gonna be REAL good, but I just don't see him being a Sheed type.

I mean sheed dominated at North Carolina. I don't think Frye will be able to dominate, but I think he'll still be solid.

He reminds me of Gadzuric for some reason.

Hey, Frye can be our version of Sheed, stats and demeanor notwithstanding.

Frye will make the rookie game during all-star break, too (if he keeps up the good work!).
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I remember a failed pass that he had last night. He went up for his jumper (which he should've taken) but threw a nice, crisp down to Malik (who had turned around because he thought the shot went up). As someone who plays ball, that's a high IQ pass to make (usually). If you're connected with your teamates, that's the kind of pass that shows you're thinkin two plays ahead. It's a chess move.

Not to mention that when he passed it, he looked like a guard.

Ya I remember that.

Pass was way high though.

But it reminded me of something Larry (Bird) would've done...

Channing Frye will not = Rasheed Wallace.....anytime soon.

Not until he gets himself some tattoos of course.

For those of you that don't know. Well you see, if you're black, male but sorta light skinned and can shoot a little bit then....you're labeled as soft.

Get the dude some tatoos and we've got our man. Steph and Matt oughta be able to help him out in that area.

If you need me to provide examples I can (Frye vs Kmart).

He's already got a tat. I saw it on his arm. I swear.

And that pass was high because Malik is short. If Malik was as tall as he should be, it would'a been a perfect pass.

from today's times:

"It would be a stretch to say that Frye is becoming Rasheed Wallace - a comparison Thomas drew after the draft - but he is showing that kind of versatility. If Frye can rebound and defend as well as he scores, he will become the perfect frontcourt partner for center Eddy Curry. Frye's shooting ability could keep defenses from sagging on Curry."

this board should get a commission for helping these beat writers. man.
