One reason Rose has good numbers is...

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/11/14/sports/basketball/14knicks.html
quote]
As much time as Brown spends promoting the Knicks' young core, he could not have been more pleased with the second unit's play in the second quarter. The veteran Malik Rose anchored a unit of 20-somethings - Frye, Crawford, Ariza and Nate Robinson - as they pushed the lead to 19.

Looks like he's the calming veteran presence with the crazy kids running rampid....i'm not so sure, but that could definitely explain the inflated numbers.

Doesn't matter to me who he puts out with that bunch of 4, however, I see no reason why Lee can't be rose...maybe because the entire team on the floor will be rooks?

Who really knows?
all kool aid all the time.

Why we lost some close games so far:

Malik Rose's dumb ass shooting jumpshots down the stretch when he is not even the fourth option on the team. Know your role and pass the ball, Malik or better yet hold on while we get your plane ticket ready

Malik is becoming a scape goat. He hasn't played very well - he has shot the ball terribly - but I don't think you judge a veteran on 6 games when he has Ten years of history. That's like you or I having a bad week.

The second unit has played very well - and he's been part of that. Maybe he's just being carried but it's interesting he has one of the best +/- ratios on team. As long as LB still sees his value I'll trust his judgement. Another thing to consider is Frye, Lee (in very limited time) , Mo T, Curry have all been foul prone. So it is likely one or both of Rose and AD will get some minutes even if the young guys continue to play well.

If the New York media wants to help the Knicks they need to start doing stories on how good Malik is in the locker room. Helping chemistry, keeping the young guys focused, etc. So some other team can take them into the fold only to see that really he's just an awful basketball player.
"We need another shot blocker and we need more girth in the middle, once that happens we have a chance to be a pretty decent team" Isiah on draft night

I don't have a problem with Davis. He can play 20-25 mins a game backing up C/PF. He IS a step slow, especially on D these days. He does help on the boards and scores a little. Rose however is not really an effective player at this point. He's always been way undersized and now his age is catching up to him. He can defend a little, but IMO not strong enough to warrant being out there, especially late in games. I'd rather play Lee.

To be honest, I came up with the name around draft time when I wanted desperately for us to draft granger or wright over Frye. Before they announced the 8th pick, my brother and I were chanting "not frye, not frye" and lo and behold, "With the eighth pick, the new york knicks select channing frye"

As things turned out, Frye looks like a top 5 talent, and I couldn't be happier to be proven wrong. He's a unique, multi-dimensional player who'll really help down the road.

That said, I'm thinking I might re-register under a diff name so as to not have the cliched player name.

Three points I took away from last nights win.

1: Jamal Crawford has to start and finish games.
2: Quentin Richardson needs to get his stroke back and soon.
3: Malik Rose needs to be on the next American Airlines flight to Siberia. This idiot found a way to foul our opponent from the bench!!! Sitting down he fouled the guy. The referees never even seen that before! Even they were shocked over how stupid this guy is. They had a conference just to joke about it amongst themselves! Everytime we need a big shot Malik Rose takes it... and misses it. Everytime we need a score, this guy finds a way to turn the ball over.
And yet, Brown awards him with more minutes??? All of this while Jackie Butler and Mo Taylor sit on the bench. I am sorry guys but i find that absolutely ridiculous.

First of all Rose didn't foul Hart from the bench he only caught the guy so he wouldn't get hurt, then HArt grabbed his arm and held it ther so the referees would call a foul, just because everyone hates Rose doesn't mean he is guilty of every problem this team has, granted I am not crazy about him being on the court, but he did nothing wrong in that
incident with Hart, he was only trying to help him out. I have looked over the replay many times it was clear to me that Hart had a hand in the foul being called on Rose.

Take a look at the camera angle on ESPN.com FULL MOTION website video and then tell me Malik Rose didnt hold him back.

I watched it several times, and what I wrote is what I saw, so don't tell me anything else. OKAY!.

I know what I saw, period!
