Your building analogy doesn't make much sense but I'll play along.
Your story was missing a few points:
The foundation of the building is weak and will never support a building that was promised to reach such great heights.
The Foreman has a habit of using old construction materials, that are past their usefullness, instead of new materials that also happen to have a lot of questions as to their strength, durability and usefulness in terms of becoming cornerstones of the building.
The construction company has a lot of "no-show" employees, taking up a large chunk of the budgeted salaries with not much end in sight.
And most importantly, the architect, with a questionable history filled with failures, has wasted all of the company's resources in trying to get everybody to really believe that this wonderful building was really going to be put up. Now there's a half contructed building with a weak foundation that doesn't look like it will ever reach the heights that the architect promised.

Overcoming adversity is also in the blueprint. This is an on going process similar to other aspects of life.
My building scenario was not a direct analogy of team construction but just a little story of patience for fans to chill out.
Failure is in every blueprint of sucess. Like the stock market, the bears all have their day but swim against the tide over the longer time frame.
So Isles will only shine whent he team fails. When you get in line with the optomists, you will be bandwagon hopping.
you must be a joy to watch games with. Frown when the score? Is there a mrs. Isles? "Honey how is the game?" "we are losing again!", "oh, then your happy?" "yeah baby!"
ALso, things change. Just today even in this thread BOnnie is throwing me a bone, and Isles is the new GayRobot picking on the smallest of crumbs. Its better to be right then to forge ahead? The true cry of a GayRobot.
Isles, I have done my Isiah bashing, marb bashing, and if this Marb trade rumors ever pan out its more dissapointing than anything else. Its easy to pick apart whats wrong, but even easier to drink the fools cool aid.
I have been critical to those Kool aid intoxicated, the media bashers, and the Isiah worshippors, not for the hope they have, but that this all takes time to work itself out. Im on record as not being disappointed because I did not buy into the hype, but I wish I was wrong. I wish the team was off to a good start. But im not filled with glee about it.
My little story was to try to show folks whom are very disappointed that its a long term process and it COULD be ok.
At least nobody drove a 757 into my building!
