Knight, I understand you and your opinion that Marbs should have held his toungue and perhaps he should have.

However, no one can change the fact he said it.

We can take this forum as an example. Say someone makes a comment and they go back and forth about that comment. You better believe that person is going to be called out. If one is going to say something, they better stand behind it.

We can argue that Kidd, AI, & Nash are better...but in Stephon's opinion he's the best. Let Marbs think that and know that he's gonna have to show up on the court every day to back that statement up.
It can be thought of as movtivation.

You say, "It doesn't matter, I let my game speak on the court." Marbury is dumb enough to answer those questions.

You've said many times in other threads that Steph is not a typical PG.

And I've played many years of kickball too. If you used to call yourself the best, I wouldn't have wanted to be on your team. I bet your teammates didn't like that very much.

and knight, when you are the best, you are surrounded by doubters...the reason they ask you is because they want to doubt you, they ask if you think you're the best to see what you will say, if you don't say you are the best, they will jump on it, if you say you are the best, they will jump on it.

Like I said, if you've never been thought of as one of the best, you have no idea what marbs is talking about and will say "he should say", and "he should say", if you've always been one of the marginal players on a team, then you would never have the question asked to you and have no idea what you would say or should say.

It's a moot point, because you have no idea what you are talking about.
