The bulls started 0-9 last year.

They actually recovered from an 0-9 start to finish the season 47-35 and earn the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.

Curry was on that team, Tony Davis was on that team.

I'm not worried.

They also have EXCELLENT guards. We are not the Baby Bulls.

yep, we aren't, we have more depth than they did.

Curry played like no minutes and Frye and lee picked up the slack.

Another bright note...we are tied with Toronto, Orlando and Atlanta and are only ONE game behind MIAMI, CLEVELAND, BOSTON, PHILLY and CHICAGO.

That's One game back in the standings.

Not worried.

our post up players cant stay out of foul trouble
when young guys play hard the HOF coach yanks them
the very good coach apparently left his knowledge of the game at his old job

until I see something different nothing has changed with this team

I don't what you do for a living - but I'm assuming someone watching you perform your job from a distance, for a couple of months, who was not a professional in your field - probably wouldn't be a very good judge. Are you really arrogant enough to judge LB after three games?
I will mention that just in case I do something BLATENLY obviously wrong. Did anyone in the BB world, on this board or anywhere else see what I saw? A line up of Crawford, Marbury, Nate, Frye and Lee (with some Ariza) not only got us back into the game they got us a 5 point lead. So what did you think when you saw Barnes, AD and Malik Rose at the scorers table? If we won the game it was a bad move that didnt hurt us. Guess what the turning point of the game was?

Can we turn this thing around? Of course. I'm not stupid, I like our players as much as anyone else here, but after 4 years of the same old BS I will see it when I believe it. I'm sorry if that sort of arrogance offends. Its not meant to.

OldFan...Fish is always right and knows more about everything than everybody.

he's also become the harbinger of doom in the last 10 months.

Once we start winning he'll be back on the LB is the best coach ever...check his sig, he's just being melodramatic for the effect.

He's really a homer. An arrogant know it all homer, but a homer nonetheless.

backup center Chris Taft looked good out there.

Jerome James

2nd unit:

Craw Nate Frye Ariza LEE the only exciting point of the game

Gee - Only Five young players to get excited about. Yeah, last year was much better - this team is clearly going in the wrong direction.

I'm not complaining.

Sorry.

so you are telling me that you were thrilled with the results of today's game? we could all be happy with the rookies playing and the defense but the fact remains we are 0-3 against very winnable teams when we have much harder teams o0n the horizon. hell, i was happy when they played ariza last year. did i like the results of the team? nope. i was happy two years ago when they played frank williams and sweetney. did i like the resultas of our team back then? nope. true, this is no way near a championship team but we should win games.even the bobcats won a game.

Yes - I'm telling you I'm happy. Frank Williams - was nothing - you had to fool yourself into expecting anything out of him. We had Sweeney and Ariza last year. This year we have a better Ariza and a ton of other talent. And LB is actually playing the young guys - players 25 and under have played more minutes then the older players each of the last two games - and that's even with Marbs heavy minutes.

I expect us to play hard and we'll win some - but no I don't need to win now to be happy. We've been saying we should rebuild and we're trying to. To me that means you have to except losing. If we win great. But you can't have it both ways - or at least your dooming yourself to being an unhappy fan. We have an entirely new team and I just don't think you, LB or anyone else can instantly turn them into winners.

If I truly believed my sig 100%, I'd be devestated about our record, but to say losing in boston at THEIR home opener and playing the improved wizards and warriors tough, having the lead against both in the 4th quarter, is misery, then you need to recheck your own expectations on the season.

Unless you predicted a 50 win season, there is no way you can say you expected to be 3-0...while, it would have been AWESOME...it is early in the season and there are other teams playing worst than us with wins.

I was NOT thrilled with the RESULTS of today's game, but I was thrilled with today's game.

lee comes from the inactive list to msg player of the game.

makes me proud...our kids are growing up before our eyes.

yesterday we were all crying because LB isn't going to play our kids (see the multiple threads on the topic) and now he plays them in a little spurt from the 3rd to the 4th in a game that was getting away from us and not only was it exciting, but they took a 5 point lead.

And marbs was on the floor with them PLAYING DEFENSE.

(sorry for the caps guys, it's been a long day and i truly am happy with the knicks this year)

we'll be ok, and it's great to see the emotion, because it tells me I'm not the only one on this board expecting big things from the newbie knicks this year.

I loved these knicks.

here is the thing. with the roster we have we should be 2-1, not 0-3. yeah he is playing the young guns which i am happy about. but being many dollars over the salary cap and so called talented players we should be doing MUCH better. then the upcoming schedule is disheartening to say the least. if we make it out of this month sniffing 500 is an achievement.

you are right. so what we suck for a few more years especially with the money our roster bought, right? why, as a die hard knick fan, should losing bother me? we should be happy and embrace sub mediocrity like a picnic on a sunny day.

OldFan... In your opinion did Larry Brown make a mistake when he put took the young guys out who were playing well and put in the veteran players who had struggled?

Thats all I said. I never said Brown was bad or the Knicks were doomed. I said he made a mistake and what looked like a pretty obvious one. What was your reaction when LB made that sub?

I hear somewhere,(forgot where) that david lee was winded and that that was why LB took him out of the game. I dont think LB cost us the game by taking lee and frye out, but by putting rose, and Q in. ariza and Curry should have come in instead.

I still think that Larry had to take those kids out. All 3 of them expended alot of energy running up and down the court like they were. When Larry took them out, you could TELL that each one of them was winded becuase they were huffing and puffing on the bench, they HAD to come out. I'm not here to defend Larry, thats just the way I saw it happen.

I think LB already knows that the best place for Penny, Malik, JJ, and Mo is bench or DNP. This bunch is collection of IT mistakes and desperation moves. But can he really cut them off?
It's a blow in Isaiah face, and... it will be no way to trade them out if they will not play at all. So it is also a blow in Dolan’s face.
It's not his decision and he will do everything (like starting JJ) to make IT make this decision himself.
If this will at all happened we have a youngest team in the league and who know... how long it will take to make them good enough to win the established teams with good mix of veteran players, stars, role players, and youngsters (with some limited minutes from the bench).
But this is the way to handle this team "The right way" - play young players we have, get 20 wins and go to lotto this year (which was lost opportunity the last one). And Craf and Q should come from the bench to have them work to make them attractive for trades for picks or young talanted players if they will not show that their game became solid.
This can be a good start for new post - REBUIDING IS CLOSE THAT EVER.

why does everybody keep lumping MoT in with the others? Is it because there are a couple of MoT bashers on the board and they don't want to get in trouble.

MoT has played superbly above average, jeez.

he's WAAAY outplayed Rose and JJ, and for that matter crawford (in 10 less minutes 2 less points), for scoring punch off the bench, he's been above average.

He's gonna be a nice throw in for KG.

Mike Breen said it. He said during the broadcast that they "looked winded."

They are 22 year old and none broke 20 minutes. For 10 years Ewing "looked winded." He's still got sweat stains on the Knick bench.

Hey thats cool though. I'm just a fan and its my job to ask these questions. I couldnt believe it when I saw it and exactly what I feared happened did happen.
