First of all, let's not blame this game on a failure to call a timeout. We had a chance to win in OT, but we failed miserably. Barnes, Curry and AD missed many rebounds between them. We failed to score the easy points when we had the opportunities, and the other team capitalized on our failures. We need to regroup and come out on Friday and win the game Vs the Wizzards. Brown will have to do a much better job with his substitutions also.

was the coaching staff screaming "CALL TIMEOUT" to marbs? has that been mentioned anywhere?

b/c marbs got the ball right in front of the bench and in the heat of the moment, he didn't think of it. he never was thought of being the smartest player out there but it was a tough situation in where only a few would think of calling timeout without direction from the coach.

and in this case, i don't know of LB was screaming it or not.

Steph was playing D, and stripping the ball, and in his mind he knew time was running out. Its not like he was looking up at the clock and ran and grabbed a loose ball. He knew time was running out and he was right, but he did have a little more time than he realized.

You really can't be mad at that though. If it weren't for his clutch defensive play, they could have scored on us. I'm not gonna nitpick that.

There were no TO's left. We used the last TO before the steal. If the boxscore reads that we had a TO left that is because of us gaining a TO from the extra session. Lets not blame Marbs for this. Lets blame fundamentals of the game and CRAWFORD probably pouting because he was not the starter. I mean why should he listen to LB, its obvious Craw knows more than the COACH

NY was in a full-court trap. Calling time-out in the event of a stl wasn't discussed? Maybe with Herb coaching but with LB

Hh who cares, there was like, what 2 secs left? after we call the 20, on which you can't advance the ball even, you have like a second to inbound from under your own basket?

The game was lost in OT, where the entire team folded under pressure. Some things just never change with the Knicks.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I agree...However, things will change. I am mad because Curry was very tired in the second half and missed a lot of shots...Brown should have rested him for the first 2 minutes of OT and brought in some fresher legs like Frye to start and inject some energy

OK OK I've thought about it...he should have called time out.

Sht...we may be in trouble...he has made mistakes like this in the past, and usually you take the good with the bad, but maybe we may be onto something...maybe he's no Isiah...he's no Larry legend or Magic or Jordan...we may be in trouble...

Our only hope can be that Frye becomes that person that puts us over the top...similar to tim duncan putting David Robinson over the top.

I'm not sure...

Marb did the right thing. Considering how hard it was for us to score in the last minutes, we could'nt risk calling time, preparing a post up play and hoping to force overtime that way. He did the right thing getting the easy shot, because Davis was set.

No Marbury did not do the right thing. Larry Brown was yelling for a timeout (confirmed by the article in the Daily News today http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/story/362326p-308581c.html ) and even if he didn't, Marbury is a professional and has been in these situations before. He should have known what to do. It's a problem. He was wrong. The team needs to learn from it and move on.
NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.
Marbury should have called time out!
