we're now criticizing LB?

this is nuts.

see what happens when you desert us for 2 weeks?

there's worrying and then there's worrying.
as a professional in the medical field, how would you describe this?
it's not hypochondria but it has to be some form of it, no?

this is like starting a thread saying "did we bite off more than we can chew with micheal jordan?"

no, it means, is this the right guy to actually play the rookie or are AD and Mo Taylor going to get all the minutes at PF this year while Frye and Lee "learn" on the bench?

There really is no reason to panic. The Pistons was the only team that LB ever took over that had a winning record!!! LB is the PERFECT coach for this team. He is all about winning and developing that type of attitude from the start. You have to set the tone that mediocrity will not be tolerated. That is how even weak teams overachieve. You don't accept failure and you don't accept anything but 110% everytime you step on the floor. GET IT RIGHT IN PRACTICE and you'll get it right in games.

The man's record stands for itself and he should not be questioned.

LOL! And please believe that if we somehow got MJ in his prime, there would be some folks here asking that question.

This is mostly boredom though. With the anxious anticipation for the season to start, we have to think and rethink everything.

OH cmon.

James is trash and Brown sees it and he is not gonna play him to make anybody look good.

And if Marbury can't play for Brown, then guess what, fck Marbury! Trade his @ss and be done with it.

We finally have a real coach, I say players who are not willing to listen are not needed.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

There are plenty of signs that LB isn't going to use the youth. He said as much on the WFAN M&MD interview. I'm sure he'll figure out how to use the youth eventually, but it will probably take a long time. We may lose a rookie or two in the process. It just would have been a lot more fun to get someone who would play the youth and let them develop.

Look at Philly, would you have rather made the Finals with creaky Deke, no offense George Lynch and boring as pudding Eric Snow or hung on to Larry Hughes, Theo Ratliff and seen if they could work with Iverson? You could argue that you made the Finals with one group, but I think the original rookies they had could've won the Finals. They gave up on Stackhouse, then Detroit turned around and got Rip Hamilton for Stack.

1st of all you're wrong, that's not what LB said at all. He said that the young guys would play. He said that you should expect that he'll start off with guys who have more experience, but that you can expect the see the 3 rooks by about December

1st of all, you just repeated what I just said. I'm concerned with what "seeing" the youth means. I happen to think not seeing the youth until December is idiotic. This is a lotto team which shouldn't be concerned with making the playoffs, but building around the youth. You can't build around the youth without playing it. Rather than "seeing" them in December, we should be "seeing" them now and starting them in December/January.

The perception that these kids aren't ready for the NBA is ridiculous. Everyone of them except maybe Jackie could handle major minutes and that's what they should be getting. Penny and Malik and Mo aren't good enough to warrant stunting anyone's development. You can make a very clear case that Nate, Lee, Ariza and Frye are already better than them. Why not give them the time to learn Larry's system immediately? Aren't they the future? Rebuilding means playing the youth and learning from mistakes, not playing vets to eke an extra 5 wins out of a season.

The whole reason and point to drafting experience college players is that they're ready to play immediately. I hope I'm wrong and Larry uses the youth from Day One, because this season is going to be ugly until he does.

I'm surprised this thread is still generating replies. Larry Brown and not being right for a team? Thats a good one.

I think Larry, like many politicians, is merely seeking to lower expectations.
did we bite off more than we can chew with LB?
