Well said. How much did the Knicks give Chris Dudley again? Like $28 Million or so over 5 years

Is there a smilie that throws up?

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

How much does the average backup big man make? Maybe $3 mil per instead of $5.8? BFD

I have two words for you all.

Calvin Booth.

6 years, 34 million.

He was waived with the amnesty clause with 2 years 12 million left and is now on the wizards. He's a good backup, just way overpirced at 34 million.

all right i'm going to man up as an idiot - i've come to like big game. sometimes you need a guy who's fun to root for and goof on at the same time. a big lovable lunk. ok, i already admittted i'm an idiot, but that's how i feel.

plus we're still judging him on the preseason - everything's in an embryonic state with this team - i think things are going to look very differentl across the board as the season goes on. big game will still imo prove extremely valuable. i could see him giving us 18-20 solid minutes a game. lots of clogging the lane, altering shots, hard fouls (!), improved scoring from him. we know the guy CAN play. he's also ovbviously a bit of a head case and a high-maintenance player who needs a lot of structure and pressure from coaches and teammates.

I don't think this is going to get anywhere. People who will never admit that IT can do something wrong arent gonna change. JJ can miss 50 games and average 3 and 3 of the bench, but people will say hety we got Curry, and he is a backup, and 3 and 3 is not that bad from a backup, and who cares about the money.

Thats why I don't bother beating the dead horse anymore. I said it when we got him, Jerome James is garbage, has been garbage and will alwasy be garbage. Why anyone expects a veteran player to change I don't know.

People forget how Ostertag had a monster series in the playoffs the last year Utah went to post season, you want Ostertag on your team? Same player, a big fat stiff who can block a shot here and there.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

James is a good addition to our team, but the way Larry has used him so far has made it impossible for him to establish himself. I know that Larry said that he is out of shape, but like all of our other players, he will need considerable amount of playing time to get in a groove. If you watch how Seattle used him in the playoffs, he was at his best when Allan penetrated and dished the ball out to him for the finish. Marb is notorious at penetrating the paint, therefore his style of play will benefit James considerably.

he is an asset that we must use properly...He is foul prone, but Brown can find a way to take advantage of what he does best...

Killa!!! looking at our roster, beside moving guys like Penny, Rose and Mo, do you think that we need to bring in other players? I know that Larry wants to have a true PG on the roster, but is it that necessary to win games? We have two guys (Crawff and Nate) other than Marb that can really play the point position, so why go after a true PG?
