curry was the most impressive player on the court by far--i loved that block shot--havent seen him do much of that and in the lane its like auto pilot dunk. i dont think he is capable yet of giving a hard 35, but a hard 25 right now is acceptable while he builds another 7-10 min worth of endurance. I think for his long term well-being--id say 33-34 min should be his max--but he can still put up 20-8 in that time--its proven in his numbers

Wow he's going to be better than Shaq eh! holy cow!!!!

That's just being silly. No one is saying he's going to be better than Shaq or even close to Shaq in his prime. Shaq was always able to play major minutes and has a career 37.4 mpg. I doubt that Curry will do that. If he ever did get into great shape and was able to play close to 40 minutes like Shaq had done then we'd be really lucky. I think he could end up playing 35mpg, but its more likely he'll be a little short of that. It doesn't matter he's going to give us a much needed inside dominance and i'm real happy about that.

Overall we're gonna get a LOT out of the post this year, so Curry isn't going to have to carry the team in any way. Thank's to IT we have other Bigs who can score.

Good post Briggs. I agree. Eddy looked pretty good tonite, I jumped out of my sofa when he had that block, that was nasty. I think he's still getting into shape since he really wasn't allowed to workout until about 3 weeks ago, it takes some time. I think Briggs hit it right though, he'll be a solid 25 right now and then eventually max out at/around 35 minutes a game. The thing I liked most tonite from Eddy's statline tonite was 3 Off. Rebounds, if he can get 3-4 offensive rebounds a game his stats are going to start REALLY looking nice.

LB said he got really tired before he finally took him out.

I say 30 MPG and 16/8.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

yep, 16/8 which is AWESOME for a kid this young and this raw.
If he came in deisel like shaq did last year for miami, he's be 20/8 hands down.

no doubt

12/5/1 in 50 games. I predict that Curry will miss extended time at some point in the season.

It seemed at times he was unstoppable. If Larry can teach him to be more focused, cut down on the sloppy turnovers, and to box out on the rebounds.

I don't think he'll ever have super hustle, so he won't be a 20/10 guy ever in this league. But I think if he's conditioned by the end of the season, and they're playing an important playoff game, I can see him motivated for a 30 point/12 rbd game.

I also think seeing Jamal be the way he is, it will motivate him to succeed even moreso.

Frye needs to start alongside Curry. He needs a shotblocker to protect him. I was a little hesitant about Frye's rebounding skills but I have been impressed with this effort thus far.

people are forgetting two factors here. one, curry has a history of tiring quickly so he will not be in a game for over 30 minutes. second, we have probably two other players who will score in the 20's. do you think we will have three under brown's system? i doubt it.
here is my predictions for the lineup:

marbury: 21ppg
crawford: 18ppg
curry: 16ppg
richardson:15ppg
rose: 7ppg

Lampe's per 40 min averages for his career are close to 40ppg/12rpg... :)

Curry is the most important option on Defense and I think Brown has already made it clear he wants our offense to run through the bigs. Curry is the best of the bigs and our offense will revolve around him. Not to mention the put backs he will get.

Didn't Butler have some sick per 40 minute stats last year, too?
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Curry is 22, Frye's age. If Curry was available in the draft this year, he would have been the number one pick hands down.

I think he can easily average 17ppg and 8rpg in about 25mpg this year. When he gets into better shape and learns how to avoid stupid fouls while playing good D, he'll get to 20 and 10 pretty easily.

I got him going for a good 20 points and that's all in the first quarter.
