In another year, if Frye continues to work with the weights, his physic will scare people on the low block.

strength, quickness, finesse. he could be the whole package. has to work on his aggressiveness, but without fouling. offensive aggressiveness, too. he's unselfish, which is nice, but he's got to grow into being a go-to scorer. that 19 the other night was a good sign.

He certainly has the skills to be a 20 ppg scorer, and I've been impressed by how he has been D'ing up, but hopefully he can just continue learning to box out on those rebounds. In the mean time, the other guys will have to pick up. I guess this is why it's good to have Davis and Rose around b/c they can certainly show him that stuff.

Marb will take this kid under his wings and do the same thing that he did with Amare if not better. Frye's offensive game is much more advance than Amare's was as a rookie. We will see.

That has nothing to do with his learning style. He is a rookie. He will get fouls call against him almost no matter what. Usually that has to be earned. Stoudamire picked up foul after foul is rookie year. Shaq too. That's why I love Brown, he already started going after the refs about this. You can tell that he plans on using these rookies. As far as being unselfish. It is pretty hard to be more demanding when you play with pgs who shoot without passing sometimes. Steph is more diligent than the other two about making sure atleast someone else touches the ball before he shoots. If I was a big man I wouldn't want to play with Robinson. I love him but he is a selfish player outright. I regret that Isiah did not go with Stoudamire instead of Robinson.

Nate can def. be selfish on the offensive end.....but you could've said the same thing about Isiah at times.

Point is....he's a young, ****y kid. But he also plays BALLZ OUT, D's up, dives for loose balls, and sacrifices his body for rebounds against guys a foot & 1/2 taller than him.

He's a sparkplug. He infuses the team with energy. Everyone starts playing hard.

Mark it down -- 2 years from now, Marbury will be traded or just plain useless, and Nate and JC will take on the majority of minutes in the backcourt.

In fact I think 2 years from now is when we're really gonna make some noise...

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I think you're reading a little too much into pre-season. Marbs isn't hustling all out right now because he knows it's more important to stay healthy for the REAL season. Some of Nate's hustle is inspiring, some of it is just plain dangerous - like throwing the ball off the backboard in Bridgeport or diving to the floor and undercutting Devin Harris in Dallas. That's dangerous stuff that could end his own career or someone else's that doesn't need to happen in the PRE. Nate is good, but he has a long way to go before he's in Marbury's league.

Marbs will get us 20 and 10 in the first regular season game - mark it down.

Bobs didn't you bash Crawford and begged for him to be traded all summer. Now we are going to trade Marbury because of him??

Im guessing after Nate has one bad game with turnovers and out of control play you will turn against him to. And praise Marbury when he has a good one. Then It would be Crawfords turn again.

Yes......I did bash Crawford.

And I also said the only reason to keep him was if he was utilized to distribute the ball instead of shoot.

The reason I take less blame out of Nate's hands is b/c he's an energizer. He plays defense, he sacrifices his body, he gets the crowd into the game. He's far from perfect, but I just feel for the kid. When he plays I think to myself "Wow, this guy is REALLY trying." With Marbury, it's always the same old ****. Slow dribbles, eventual penetration for an attempted layup, kickout, or pick & roll. There's rarely much ball movement when he's handling the rock.

Who cares if he gets the crowd into the game. Good gameplay should get a crowd motivated not someone making gestures. Matter of fact if some guy is motioning the crowd on and making bonehead mistakes who make me want to boo that guy, and I am not a "booer" type. You said 2 years? This guy is 21 years old, that excuse would have been ok for a HS player. Personally I don't think this guy will change. This isn't the NCAA, he can't dunk on people like he did in college. He isn't a 2 guard (He makes Jamal look like Houston), and he isn't a pg (don't remember when was the last time that I seen a pg blow 3 on 1 fast breaks with consistently). BTW, if Marbury did all that you mention, the guy will be a HOF like John Stockton who made a nice career of doing the same thing.

This is why I think Marb with start at the 2 and Craw at the PG spot. You can't really stop Marbury from getting points and fouls and he is good at that. As long as he shows he can defend and is willing to play SG, I am OK with him on the team.
