what about when he's forcing TOs and pushing the ball leading to easy baskets? he has plenty of time to learn to orchestrate the offense. unlike some who are nearing 30 and we're still banking on potential there never was

actually though I voted marbury cause hes proven himself to be a better pg than crawford has, although i do beleive that crawford could be a pretty godd pg just not as good as marbs

Definitely Marbury. I have been critical of Marbury, but I'm really pulling for him. I hope that Larry Brown can help him get over the hump. I like Nate a lot and maybe someday he'll be good too. Right now he's exciting to watch but he makes way too many mistakes.

the best player on our team is marbury, and he just happend to be our pg, thus sometimes making him appear selfish.

Some of you seem to forget what PG is supposed to do by definition.

Marbury's our most talented player.

That doesn't mean he's our most important player.

Or that he's even our best PG.

So cut out this "Marbury Superstar" bull****.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

the game has changed, but marbs is still our best point guard...not liking him has no bearing on this fact. He's he best point guard, makes the smartest decisions, gets the most assists and scores the most points.

nate played the 2 all through college.

I think the poll results speak for themselves.

So where are all the people who want Crawford to be our starting PG? We've had dozens of threads over the offseason about this. Do these people think Marbury is the better PG but want Crawford to start there anyway? PG IMO is so important that you have to give the minutes to your best player at the best position.

it's good to see a poll like this...it reminds me that people that gripe about marbs are really just griping to stir up something...everybody knows marbury is one of the top 5 point guards in the league...to even question his stature on his own team is just being plain silly.

obviously everybody doesn't or it would never be up for discussion. Go to othe Nets board or the Suns board for instance, they KNIOW they have a top floor general. Some Knix fans think Steph is great some don't and it has nothing to do with all out blatant hate for Steph as a person. Watching him play point guard is dreadful because HE MAKES DUMB DECISIONS ESPECIALLY IN T HE FOURTH and as a whole HE DOES NOT GET HIS TEAMMATES INVOLVED.

If anybody has the Nets-Knicks series recorded please cue it up. My dislike for Steph as point started about at the 6 minute mark of the 4th quarter of game 3. Watching how he responded with us up approaching the final minutes and how Kidd took control of the game following 2 bonehead plays by him made me start to view Steph in a different light. Game 4's fourth and the Olympics confirmed it.

That is ridiculous. Coaches just don't rate who the top5 PGs are in the league. I'm starting to think your part of Jamal Crawfords family becuase that is the only possible reason for you insistant bashing of Marbury.
