While I think players watching tape of opposing players to get the upperhand is a good thing, I don't think this works in the NBA regular season. Just too many games and not enough time in between. The NFL is perfect for this in that you have a week to prepare. In the NBA, the players need to rely on team scouts and their scouting report to better prepare.

Now, the playoffs is a different story.

THey got guys to edit out what the coach wants them to see. Riley used to give each guy a tape and make sure all hotel rooms had VCR.

Phil Jax has inspirational clips of movies mixed in whith his tapes.

If we blast the media yet rely on them sole for our own bias we are only getting spoon feed what they want.

Im not saying how one can be a fan, but don't be spewing lots of regurgitated opinion unless you see the game.

Dido, you must get a league pass and watch the games.

One cannot with accuracy comment as you do unless you see it.

There are so many intagables that a box score or high lights cannot capture them.

Boost your cred or lay back on the critique.

That, or get your stuff from NBALive?

It is interesting but I made the same observation, and I watched the game on TIVO twice!!!

Crawford cannot go left and Igodola exploited that everytime Crawford had the rock. It is part of the reason why he was so inneffective in that game. I undertsand your point Nalod, but Dido is actually quit on point with his observation.

i think nalod's got a point. there's a whole different conversation that goes on between people when they've both watched the same play they're discussing.

not to pump up fish's wild samoan-sized head any more, but it was a trip going to a game with him. every time someone would check into the game, fish would say, "now watch, this guy is gonna pick that guy's pocket, or this guy won't come near the boards if that guy's there" and the son-of-a -bitch nailed it every time!

Brown is a different type of coach...read.....Look for Lynch to be a Knicks very soon..

http://www.nj.com/knicks/ledger/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/1130478087224300.xml&coll=1&thispage=2#continue

Two ways Brown reinforces that idea is to have the team watch only film of their own games instead of the opponents. That is not to say the Knicks won't know what's coming. Assistant coaches watch tape of the opposition and then brief the team at practice or the morning shootaround.

SPECIAL ADVISOR TO THE GM

Expect Brown to have a lot of say in whatever personnel moves Thomas makes. The two work well together and Brown has the credibility with Thomas to get his way. Isiah has built most of the team to this point. But from now on, it will be a collaborative effort.

TAR HEAL EFFECT

Brown never forgets his Carolina roots, and usually has a UNC product on the team somewhere. He doesn't have that yet, but he does have two assistants (Hanners and Ford) and visitors from Tar Heal country come through from time to time. He also may lobby to have the team relocate its training camp from Charleston, S.C., to Chapel Hill, N.C., one of these years.

These guys really sucked! None of them ever amounted to anything.

Larry miller: 7 yrs ABA, avg 13 pts.
Phil Ford
Frank McGuire:
Larry Brown: played 4 years in aba, avg almost 12 pts, allstar, olympian, retired with knee and became a head coach at age 32!
George Karl: Drafted by knicks in 1973, played in aba for 5 years. Knee problems.
Kenny Smith
Ray Felton
Jeff Mcinnis

Dido, THink man THink!
