we don't have a place for Penny, and we also need to shed one or two veteran PF's depending on Davis.

I don't think we would need to include Butler. He's a small-name player that most GMs probably haven't even heard of <exaggeration>. I'd do a Mo T for Ratliff deal. He may be slowing down, but he's still one of the best, actually probably the very best, shot-blocker in the NBA.

JUST SAY NO TO THEO RATLIFF!!!!!!

1. He is hurt every year and is way past his prime.

2. Why include Jackie Butler as a throw-in, when Ratliff will be done (he's already medium well) in about 2 years and JB should be devloped nicely in 2 years.

3. We have a very young team, it makes 0 sense to add a 32 year old center when we already have three 7 footers!!!!!

4. We honestly do not need another backup center.

Having said all of that, it would make sense, straight up. We could use him, I was really reacting to letting go og JB who I think has promise.

I think so too bedtime. He's a really good shotblocker, but all his other skills seem to be diminished and it's probably just not worth going after him. I think Davis is a better fit.

Heard everyone. Making any trades right now makes no sense whatsoever. We've already got young guys as potential shot intimidators (ie. Frye, Lee and the aforementioned Bulter).
Isiah already made the necessary moves for the first half of this year. If something interesting comes along by the deadline then it's something to consider...But, do not trade our youth. I don't mind having Rose and Penny (who will make a nice trading chip this year). MoT is flat out of shape and he's got no excuse. Curry has an excuse..but not MoT.

Irregardless, our main need for next years draft is to find a hellified Wing player (3 and a bit of 2). Someone VC or Ginobli (ish)...I know, hard to do. Ariza is going to be awesome but it will take a few more years for him to get the scoring part down.

However we do it we've got to make it count. I have no doubt Isiah can pull it off.
