Isiah would be crazy only to do another trade right now. He is going to retain Penny until mid-season at least.

diderotn - what could be crazier than not just one, but TWO totally unexpected coups in one off season?

If grabbing Larry Brown fromDetroit swas crazy - borrowing Eddy Curry fropm Chicago for Tim Thomas, Sweetney and some spare change is flat out ridiculous

.... and a man in my position can't afford to look ridculous!

The best part?

Isiah is still working towards his stated goal of a championship-calibre roster

You go Zeke!

I disagree, I think he should be aggresive here man---we have two huge ending contracts right now--if tony davis doesnt want to play here--doesnt mean he cant get traded and released somewhere else right?

the NY Knicks of the 90s did what they had to do to get extra parts-guys like X-man, doc rivers, derek harper, charles smith, chris dudley, buck williams etc.. they never stood pat and they went to two finals and shouldve been to five or six of them, we just had a little bad luck with reggie miller and jordan+ we got burned when we got into that fight with miami up 3-1 if dolan has just let them do whatever to get as good as possible as soon as possible--then they should take advantage of it.

We should stay with what we got.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I would like to see some moves to acquire more draft picks to make up for the picks that have been traded. The picks can provide leverage to trade up for a player that slips, like Green or Graham.

Actually, the only move I'd consider making is Crawford for like Harrington or D Miles...

Pick Up The Pieces - AWB

Rich - the draft is only one of many roads to find talent.

The DerMarr Johnson/ Jackie Butler/ Jermaine Jackson / Otis George / Matt Barnes signings illustrate how marketable / servicable talent can be uncovered for practically nothing. if one knows what to look for in a skill-set

i don't think crawford is going anywhere for a while. he's part of the long term plans here.

amen. there's no way I would trade Craw for Miles or Harrington. We have two SFs in Ariza and Q, and possibly a third in Lee. Also, Malik can probably play there against certain opposing SFs.

I wouldn't mind trading Crawford for an excellent/traditional shooting guard with solid range and defensive skills-

Re-read DJ's do nothing post! You never "do nothing" unless you just won the championship. ALWAYS, ALWAYS explore all options.

I doubt there will be another deal for at least another couple of months. Once Isiah & Larry gets a chance to see who is/isn't fitting into Larry's gameplan, those options will be explored IMO.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

also, if we are going to release tony davis, wouldnt it be smart to trade him for some kind of value, somewhere, in a financial deal where we get something? If we just release davis, we are paying him 13+mm for nothing--if we get value some place to a team willing to dump him back to the bulls, isnt that a little better than nothing?
