Curry and Gasol would be a scary effing front court.

How about this

Gasol Hakim Warrick and a sht contract of their choice

for
Frye
Ariza
Crawford
#1 pick in 2009 protected to 3
3mm in cash
and an ending contract

sorry briggs but ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!

let's enjoy this team now and let them play and grow together.

damn, we just signed curry and now it's about making the next move.

Why would we want ANOTHER offense/no defense type of guy?

I mean, this isn't a Crawford or Curry here, both guys that have lots of time to work on their game.

Rose is OLD...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Oh hell freaking yeah I would do that trade. It will never happen in a million years, but you're looking at this lineup...

C-Curry
PF- Gasol
SF- Warrick
SG- Quentin
PG- Marbury

Just wow!

Briggs- I could see Isiah possibly going for that rose/penny swap. To Isiah's thinking, he could be positioning for next season with ROse's contract being an ending deal- if he gets a pick, bonus.

Penny is finished. Jalen is still productive and a real threat from all over the court.

Depends on what they want. If this is a win now team, I mean Jalen Rose is a marksman who shoots in the 45-47% area and can pass. We dont really have a true 3 except Trevor and Trevor is NOT Jalen Rose. On top of that Jalen has averaged 5 assists or more for 6 full seasons and 7 years of 4+ rebounds a game with an average of a 45% FG shooter

If you take away the year he was traded to tornto---those years get skewed--look at VC--the players dont play as hard

his last 3 years avg 21.3 pts 4.5 reb 4 asists FG % 45.2

I agree that Isiah is in a win now mode and our biggest need is a reliable mid range/3 pt game.

I'm not sure, though, that LB would want Jalen.

And I don't really buy into the Jalen is a cancer theory- and if he is, we already have Marbs.

I'd try to trade for AK-47 if he was on the block!

Offering a resigned Ariza and Q-Rich as part of the package.
Obviously, we'd need some more players from utah added as a cap filler or another team (3 way) to make it work.

I think Crawford is a keeper now, moreso than ever. The last thing Isiah wants to do is piss Curry bwoy off. They might get their games together, the 2nd time around!

Jalen Rose isn't an LB type, little D and attitude personified. Don't like the fit either.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Sounds exactly like the type of player he molds into a good team player

Yeah, if he was in the league two years and still up and coming. This is a veteran whose dad was an NBA player (Jimmy Walker). He ain't changing dude. Mark it down.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Personally, I truly believe if we can get rose for penny, we will win 50 games . people tend to forget rose is one helluva passer and solid rebounder and can play very long at 6-8 220. I know we are rebound defecient, but you add a rose --who is a big time clutch player who can do a lot of things--who still does play at a maximum level type play of production. Its only a two year commitment and if it was me, after spending all this $$$$ and going from rebuilding to high expectations, Im going after Rose and talking Davis into staying.

After the curry trade I was already thinking of possibilities like Channing Frye,Nate Robinson + 1st rounder +3 million and Penny
for CB4 and Rose. This is the way to go if you want to contend for many years, not even going for garnett.

You still have ad's contract and maurice next year,

A lot of mental masturbation for all of you fantasy trade geeks!

I live near Toronto and can tell you that the city absolutely loves Bosh and believes he is their future. I don't think any combination of Knicks players could get Bosh. If Curry is a health 20/10 player for 2 years, then he could.

question to all--will we trade penny to toronto for jalen rose
