Brand is a great player, but he is a notch below those guys--you need to help your team win more than 25 games a year to go top 10--he hasnt done that.

Today, Timmy stands with his Third Ring, his third MVP.

Lebron stands with nothing, as does Amare.

Perhaps the future belongs to the others. But not now, and not at seasons beginning.

Timmy stands tall with Shaq right below him.

When this season is over, we can change the list.

I agree nalod, but there is no way in hell there are 9 players in this league better than amare. No way. Honestly, he would be #3 on my list... Marbury again should be top 20, case closed, can't ignore his numbers and production, talent wise he is a top 20 player. Ginobili at 14 is a damn joke, I mean does anyone here think that ginobili is better than jason kidd and vince carter? I don't!!!!

I think the list is pretty much who was most productive last year. Ginobli was the no. 2 player on a championship team. That says a lot. That does not mean he is a superior talent. Marbs is a top 10 talent, and his stats are great, but his overall effectivness does not rank. Thus, Amare is a 9th player last season. Nash makes him better.

Does that Mean if I was building from scratch I would not have him higher on my list? Or Lebron? Or Dwight? Of course I pick those guys.

Marbs was the best producer on a team that only one 33 games LAST season. Other than picking up stats, how effective was he really compared to other players. IM not hating on Marbs, but im looking at the spirit of the list and can't disagree.

Regarding the young players, its not a potential list or emerging talent list, just what is right now.

If I could grab a player whom to start building for this season to win it all. Just this season, I would pick either tim or shaq. If I longer tearm, I go younger.

Thats just how I look at this list. Its a good subject to debate!

Elton Brand's team won 37 games last season, 5 less than Lebron's team who is at #1.

OK, here is another way of looking at it. I own an NBA team, got one year to live, and get to pick one player to build with . Im picking Timmy. Just one year, thats all. IM going with a 7 footer who kicks ass, makes those around him better.

Lebron will be even greater, but I just have one year to do this in. Get it? The list is about now!
