When is the last time we had the luxury of a team so deep
that we can have SO many different views of what the starting
line up should be?! Wow! Usually its clear who should NOT get
burn.
Frankly, maybe it's now too deep and we need to consolidate
a couple of players that are good into one player that's
better. I'm expecting a trade(s) will happen.

I think to start the season, it goes something like
PG- Marbury
SG- Q
SF- TT
PF- Sweetney
C- James

And then as the season progresses, I think you'll see it change to something like:
PG- Marbury
SG- Crawford
SG- Q
PF- Sweetney
C- Frye

But the "Heavy Minute" team will be:
PG- Marbury
SG- Crawford
SG- Q
PF- Frye
C- James

With Ariza and TT seeing a majority of bench support, and MoT and Rose going in for offense/defense subs respectively.

Sweets will be a stud or a bust...if he's a stud, the PF that complains the most will be bought out/traded/etc.

The only way I see Penny getting any burn is at SF when TT AND Ariza are ineffective. IMHO
all kool aid all the time.

we have a lot of marginal players that have huge question marks- that's why there are so many different ways to view the starting line up

thank goodness for brown, if anybody knows the game enough to exploit matchups and cover weaknesses via substitution patterns it's him...oh, and me on XBOX LIVE...btw...TT at the PF is awesome against teams like Memphis, Nets, Celtics, etc. with no dominant big man...I can only think of a handfull of games when we are in that situation...unfortunately they are the elite of the league (miami, pistons, pacers, spurs, etc.)
all kool aid all the time.

PG=Marbury
SG=Q
SF=TT
PF=Sweetney
C=JJ

Bench
Craw
Frye
Ariza
Lee
Nate

There is probably going to be an issue getting the minutes for Craw & Nate- A two for one deal with TT & someone (Craw or Nate or Ariza or Sweets?) getting back an older, better player could be likely.

Franco, I like that lineup the best......I hate putting Q at sf because I prefer a little more size at the position.

I know it won't happen but i'd like to see:

PG-Steph
SG-Q
SF-TT
PF-Frye
C-James

All of these guys are a good size for their position. Steph is like a pitbull, Q is so thick, TT is so tall for a SF, Frye is at least long enough to be a deterent and he actually weighs more than Rasheed, james has the size & girth we need to hold up against just about anyone. This lineup is also still quick enough to play good D and also run the floor.

Then

PG-Nate
SG- JC
SF-Ariza
PF-Sweets
C-Frye

LB could also go with

PG-Steph
SG-JC
SF-Q
PF-Frye
C-James

Really tho, LB has his work cut out for him. He's going to have some long practice sessions and he'll do a lot of mixing and matching in camp to see what he's got. I can't wait to see what he decides on.

JJ/Frye/Butler
Rose/Sweets/Taylor
TT/Ariza/Lee
Marbury/Q/Houston
Crawford/Nate/Penny

We have tons of depth but no real talent at the 5,4,3... lol.

Only LB knows how this is all gonna work.

But once TT and Penny are gone and traded for our new PF i see...

JJ(26)/Frye(22)
PF(30)/whoever is left(18)
Q(18)/Ariza(20)/Lee(10)
Marbs(36)/Q(12)
Crawford(32)/Nate(16)

I was telling this idiot at work the same thing. This is about as deep a team as I have seen here in NY.

I don't want to start up a Garnett conversation but the Knicks can afford to get him and still have alot of depth left on the roster. That's how deep the Knicks are. I've been saying that for a while.

The Knicks will be fine. I believe the Knicks are maybe one player away from really being a force. Can't wait till the season starts.

Knowing Isiah there just might be a few more roster moves before training camp!

Gotta add Mase to that list too......maybe even Camby, LJ, and Spree.....That group would win 10 straight championships!

In my opinion that's the most logical option until it proves to be wrong.
Frye and Crawford will come from the bench and get a lot of minutes because both can play two different positions.

Its the cool aid man. the more we talk about our rookies, Jackie Blue, and big game, the more larger in stature they get.

Bottom line is we go 8-maybe 9 deep and others sit.

While the future is bright, we may see the likes of Rose-Mo T.-TT getting some heavy minutes.

If Frye is projected as a PF, we can't really expect him to have much impact at the C, as a rookie.

This leaves Big game, whom at seasons start many thought was a piece of dung. He has not played a minute and is fast improving! Even if he goes 25 min, what about the other 23?

Hey, I hope Im wrong here, but im expecting a rough ride this season. Larry told the world to expect this, and I believe him. But its going to be a fun season and I would define success as a move to youth and that LB 8-10 game improvement!

Is it enough to make the playoffs? Who knows, but unless we can go deep, I'd just as soon get better picks.
