the celtics will suck, it is a risky move that has '?'s all over the place . Say what you want about Pierce, he is a proven commodity. An elite player, who plays well in the playoffs and in the 4th quarter. One selfish play doesn't erase that.

I like NeNe but I am not very big on pg's who can't shoot that aren't named Jason Kidd. Andre Miller is not that good to me.

Its a great trade for Denver, but for the celtics, I just don't know. If I am the celtics I definitely wouldn't do it. Paul Pierce can get you more than NeNe and Dre Miller.

That team will suck. They don't have a consistent #1 scorer on that team. If Gerald Green is starting on your team.. your not goint to be very good. While its nice to have that youth..nothing is a guarantee... see chicago.

true, they will suck this year and probably next but there future is bright. they have a lot of young talent that are potentially breakout stars. i think rivers will do for green what he did for mcgrady. doc rivers love molding young players into great ones and he will definately have his opportunity here.

they are punching their tickets to the greg oden sweepstakes - I hope it turns out for them like the Tim Duncan Sweepstakes

Yeah that's an interesting comment. Losing the Duncan sweepstakes seemed to totally screw Pitino's mind up and every decision he made from that point on turned to s**t.

Sort of like with Layden losing the Yao sweepstakes. But at least Boston was being realistic in thinking they'd win theirs!

Many teams will throw the 2006-2007 season to get a shot at Oden. He's that good. The LeBron of Centers... which is amazing.

Back on topic... the Celtics are the reigning regular season winner in the Atlantic division. So what, they lost Walker.

Jefferson should be ready to step up and play a bigger role... and after all these years, Ricky Davis is still waiting to get the green light after exploding in Cleveland pre-LeBron. He's still only 25.

Gerald Green might have a ways to go... but he put up pretty nice numbers in limited minutes in summer league play. There's no reason good reason why they shouldn't be a .500+ team.

I agree. They have alot of speed on that team. Plenty of big Bodies too. The kinda team that suits Doc Rivers. He will have them playing hard and up and down the floor.

They found that they can't win with pierce!

Even when they had the series all sewn up, in the bank, jet fueled, tix printed, all for the next series, Pierce gets an offensive foul defending his ego? " How dare this man attempt to even if accidently over zelous intentionally foul me?"

IM surprised Red Aurbach did not lapse into the subconcious right then and there.

granted, this was no buckner thru the legs, but this is such a huge blunder!

I hated the celts in the 1970s. Dave Cowens, Havelechiek, jo jo white, etc! I respected the Larry bird era, and since I hated smiley showtime even more, I tolerated them.

But this was such a great anti boston moment to me!

I could give too shoyts and a Phuch about where he plays so long as its not the Knicks!

The face of choking!
