Vujanic was a good pick. With a pick that late, it's a good idea to gamble. Vujanic had way more talent than anyone available that late. It didn't work out, but when you have a chance to get a player with that degree of talent that late in the draft, you have to roll the dice.

Man, we loved the dude draft nite, and loved his enthusiasm knowing he needed a few years of work. We were all into his mobility and summer game, just like we do with current crop of rooks. Then he is traded we feel he must suck to validate the price we paid for marbs!

Flakey!

I hope this kid really turns out. We got what we wanted and did not have time to develope the kid. He was a second round pick. Basically a high school kid!

He is a mobile big man who could finally bring it on when he is like 24 or so!

I hope he comes in and drops 40 one day!

I never hate on our rookies!
Lampe is slow. Sucks, but he is slow.

Man, the problem with Lampe is this one: he was NEVER good (I don't even mean great) in Spain, so I don't know why the hell he was supposed to be great on the NBA. (well, the reason is that he is 7 feet) Can he become a good player? Sure, but I can think of a lot of players who can do it too.

Lampe has slow feet. You don't need to be great athlete to play inside, but you do need to react quickly on defense and on the boards. Lampe can't do this.

I think the initial hype about him had to do with the fact that he had a good outside shot for a big man. He might make a career out of being a role player, but he's never going to even be an important back-up.

Regarding Vujanic, I didn't know he tore his ACL, could be why he never came over. From DimeMag.com:

"You remember the name Milos Vujanic? The former Knicks pick has flirted with coming to the NBA for years and years, and just when he was about to, he tore his ACL. Now Vujanic is back and healthy and is close to joining FC Barcelona of Spain."

Lets not forget that the draft pick could have been used on JR Smith or Josh Smith, two potential all-stars, the Knicks had Penny for 2 1/2 years at 37 million dollars.....

Throw in Marbury who is owed 60 million and the trade doesn't look so special

You look at the turn around of the suns franchise.......

Vujanic and Lampe were talented players that teams were interested in and Lampe was one of the summer league stars, granted they both suck, but we are talking about guys who could have been packaged for lesser talents with good contracts.....

Say you hung onto Dice and moved him to Atlanta for Sheed....then moved wards expiring contract with a couple of players who knows who you could have got, u need to look at the whole situation

He sat out most of last year!

Even Wus's tear ACL's!

His two year window was up and he MIGHT have considered moving over if he did as well as year before. I think he is still only 24.

He would have done well in the suns system if he is as good as projected.

He is not our problem anymore!
