Those almost-wins won't rack up like last year. Instead, we'll be dishing those out to the opposition.

Jerome James, at the buzzer, YES!!
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

If I remember correctly, every team on that schedule but Portland had a better record than we did. Now I do think we are improved, but let's not count our chickens too soon.

LOL, but I honestly think we are better than those teams. I can tell I am being too optmistic because the majority of the posts on this thread disagree with me. I think with Brown, we will be disciplined enough to not blow games. Those games last year that we lost in cruch time, we will win. Think about all those last second plays with everyone confused about what they are doing. I cannot see that happening as much with Brown as the coach. I think Sweetney and Jerome James are going really flourish under Brown. Marbury is a decent defensive player if he wants to be. IMO Marbury will show more effort on defense. We are gonna get a great jump. Hopefully we get 5-0.

and the knicks my best guess

G Nate 5-9 185

I feel depth is our best asset and I really want to move craw to P and use Richardson Nate Ariza and Sweetney as a serious bench

i think we should get the Cs--but the other games will be pick ems

so Im going to guess 3-2

Lets not get ahead of ourselves because last time we did, the Knicks sucked and missed the playoffs with a team we thought was better than the one that made the playoffs the previous season. We can win the first 5 games, especially with Brown making everyone work hard, but we have yet to see how the players will respond to him. We don't even know the starting lineup yet. I like the optimism, we need that, but lets just not predict things until we see this team actually playing. In my heart as a fan Im going for 5-0, but thats because Im a fan. I really don't know yet how this will shape out...

Nobody knows how we'll do, but in a weird kind of way, that's the best part about it all.

Yeah, I'm one with high expectations, but this year is really starting to feel different, in a good way IMO. So much so, that I am willing to go on record early and predict a middle area playoff berth after winning no less than 48 games this year.

I dreamt it about a month ago, and am therefore sticking to my hunch.

Season, hurry up, damn! I'm Jonesin' for my Knicks fix! (and DJ, yeah I am shaking and shivering, cold sweat looking Ewingesque! )

46 to 48 sounds about right to me. I really really really hope I am right.

I think the Wizards improved with Antonio Daniels and Caron Butler over Larry Hughes who's not that good, poor defender/chucker and doesn't get the ball to his bigmen but fills up the stat sheet
