James has never averaged close to 25+ minutes in his entire career. What makes you think he'll do it this year. He's hardly servicable, and what makes you wanna settle for serviceable in the first place? So we can be mediocre? In this league, the way to be is either you suck completely or you're a good team. This isn't a very good team THIS YEAR. 40-45 wins at most, which isn't anything to go hooray about.
we are taking a chance on James, we know he battled weight issues and injuries but at 29, which is not old, he showed us he can play at a good level for long stretches at a time, that is more than humps like mutomob, rebraca and dale davis can offer... Getting james is not going to make us medicore, how is that? Do you think that getting dale davis or mutombo makes us great? or even average. Heck right now I will settle for mediocre after being just bad last year.... You are acting like James is a make or break move for us, he is not and neither is he paid like a make or break player, but in the interim he can give us needed size, shot blocking until guys like frye are ready to play full time...
