We haven't seen Bogut play one NBA game; how can we possibly answer this?

Just wondering but do you use that same reasoning when people bring up Nate, Frye and Lee and talk about what they already bring to the table even though they haven't played one NBA game either? Oh wait, I forgot, you're one of those people. Nevermind.

LOL, I guess you can take a reasonably-based guess on how Nate Frye and lee should help the team.

Statistically, number 1 picks throughout the history of the nba have been impact players right away, so I kind of used my imagination, some of his SL stats, his numbers at Utah and Im looking at 15-16 points 10 rebounds 3 assists 1.5 block in 35 minutes for Bogut.

I like what Milwaukee's done. Their two X-factors as of now are Bogut and particularly Ford. If Ford can really get back on track, they might be a pretty tough team over there. One thing about Redd, though-- he's easily the worst defensive SG in the NBA, by far (see Dan Rosenbaum's ratings at 82games.com). So it's probably most realistic to see him as just an average NBA SG even though his offensive skills are great, and that should change perceptions of Mil's roster a bit.

Overall, I'd say for next season their roster is a bit better than ours. But I'd say Larry Brown is a much better coach than theirs. So I give the Knicks a slight edge, but we'll probably be close all season.

they are perilously thin in the frontcourt
losing zaza for the chump change they lost him for was really dumb, even if zaza's agent was breaking their stones. you dont let a 23-24 yo 7 footer who played very well walk for nothing in this league and then compound it by just releasing Booth. Heck Booth put up the same dm numbers as James did when they subbed for each other in 2003 5 pts 4 reb 1.5 blocks in 17 minutes

its tough to have a winning team with little depth in the frontcourt.

I think their frontcourt depth is OK, assuming they don't have any serious injuries. Bogut should at least be solid if not very good, Joe Smith is solid, and Gadzuric is quite good. That's not a bad 3 man platoon for C and PF. Gadz and Bogut together could be a pretty dynamic C/PF combo. But yeah, they should've shelled out the chump change to keep Zaza as well.

I see the posts and am stunned. Everything the knx have is bad and everything someone else has is good. The Bucks have some fine players but world beaters?? Hardly. The knx have greater depth, overall team speed, better D when Brown has his system in. I don't know who will be better but truly believe we will have abetter record at the final buzzer. Is Bogut going to better than Frye, Lee Nate- individually maybe (he didn't show it during the summer) but as a group the knx rooks will have a greater impact.

I think they have a better future. They have a bunch of young guys and they dont have one bad contract on their roster.

I think we better right now, but right now I would rather have their roster. If we could magically make TT, Penny, Rose, Jerome James and Mo Taylor disappear I would take our roster over theirs.

Milwaukee has done a nice job putting together that team. A little luck got them Bogut, but TJ getting derailed has hurt.

There is nothing wrong with hating on them, but recognize the roster and upside. I'd have to say they are ahead of us with that squad.

They have bogut whom has huge potential. And if it is relalized, they will be very very good. "IF" is the key word. Same applies to half our squad!

How can you even compare the two without seing them play at least 10 games???? Your question should have been: who is better on paper????

Well both teams are young and athletic. Hard to tell who made out the better team. The only difference is Knicks have bad contracts and Mil none. It is a wash on paper. Let's see them duke it out on the court then the moment of truth will be revealed.

On paper, we are a much better ball club. Let's not forget that we have Larry as a wild card. Who is their coach????? That plays a big difference

were close. I think they may have us by just a bit IF everyone is healthy, but the Knicks have a BIG advantage in depth upfront

Because James and Shaq, the Nets are forced to bring in a big body to counter...

Thorn is a smart man.

He know the key to his season is countering Big Game James.
