I think it's an aweful idea. Didn't he lose his starting job to Nazzy? Why would we trade Nazzy only to trade one of our best chips for his backup? Makes no sense to me. We have two centers. One a rookie, one signed long term.

Channing may be "underzized" but he's an inch shorter than Rasho and 5 pounds lighter. So we have enough talent at the 5 to survive without an overpaid european sloth who gave a championship team 6 pts and 6 rbds.

Horrible, and I'll tell you why.

Rasho is NOT worthy of playing on this team. PERIOD! Tellem to go play for the Nets or something. They seem to dig foreign players...

Rasho wouldn't know how to SPELL "no layup rule."

Oak, don't listen to these guys. Keep doing your thang. If Isiah traded for Rasho, these guys would give yu a million and one reasons why they love the trade.

They love Jerome James but hate Rasho.

But i will agree with crzymdups that it may be too early to see if "Q dawg" fits here or not.

Caseloads, i see you're still babying a grown man. Kwame Brown. They could send Kwame's 3 year NBA resume to a grand jury, and they would come back with an indictment for armed robbery.

and will someone please inform toodarkman that Jerome James didn't even average 6 and 6.lol

^ Uhhh there's a pretty noticeable difference b/w Rasho and JJ.

Rasho, first of all, is a good weak-side defender....JJ's a good defender straight up.

Rasho is really soft. JJ isn't.

Rasho is slow as ****. JJ is pretty agile.

Rasho didn't even PLAY in the postseason. JJ did, and was very effective.

Rasho is your typical unenthusiastic Euro. JJ has a mean streak to him.

Now, I'll be honest. This WAS JJ's contract year, so hey, he could always avert to his old ways. But I'll take 5 and 5 in 20 MPG from JJ anyday over 30 minutes from Rasho. Atleast JJ has some tenacity and defensive intensity......Rasho, at best, can simply be mildly efficient.

I mean, cmon guys......do you really value production more than impact?

Rasho has ZERO impact on a game, regardless of his production. JJ CAN alteast have an impact on a game, "big game" or not...

bobs, i'm not even going to reply to your post.

jerome james is a good defender. jerome james is pretty agile. jerome james can have an impact on a game.

that kool-aid sweet, aint it!

well, for one, you just did reply to my post.

and 2.....haha, very funny. I'm the last guy you'll see buy into this Kool-Aid bull****. With me, seeing is believing. And I've actually watched both guys. Rasho is nice if you a Tim Duncan next to him, but besides that, he's silly puddy.

JJ didn't have a Tim Duncan next to him, and yet he was still effective at times for Seattle. My only point was that b/w the 2, I'd much rather have JJ.

Obviously, I'd rather have Dalembert or Chandler, but that's a whole other story...

Thanks, big. Just killing time thinking about ways to get big man prospects.

Bobs, you make it sound as though JJ's a player in the young Deke mold, which he isn't. I haven't seen him play much, but if he can't stay on the court with his foul troubles, he won't have much impact, would he...??? I mean check out his game log from last season (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/gamelog?statsId=3279) and see the # of fouls compared to his mins played. IT IS SIMPLY AWFUL...

If he can only stay on the court for 16.6 mins as he did last season, I'd rather have Rasho who played 30 min/G in 03/04 season averaging 11.2pts/6.5rb/1.5bl and shot decent 52.5%.

But yeah, I guess it's premature to propose Q-Rich trades at this stage.

Why not just trade Malik Rose and a future pick for Rosho? They want him back and it would seem to help both teams.

that is actually something I would do. thanking them for lee.

But aren't the salaries the same? And isn't Rose a better player IMHO?

Shouldn't they be giving us a future pick?

You def. don't trade Q for Rasho.

And to be honest, Rose brings so much more than Rasho does.

See, if Nestero was makin less $$$, I'd give him a look, but the guy has a big contract.

I'd only consider dealin Rose back to S.A. for him if it included a pick, and if Sweets really comes into training camp lookin like he should...

Rasho stinks and I'm not going to gamble by trading Q for another potential European Darko/Skita-like bust. Did I mention I hate Rasho Nesterovic!!!!! and I would tell it like it is is he was on the Knicks!

Btw Oak:

I'd rather have a guy that deserves minutes but fouls out then a guy that plain doesn't deserve the minutes. There's a reason why Pop didn't play him AT ALL in the playoffs.

I rather have Nazr who averaged 11pts 9rebs 50% FG. Numbers don't tell the whole story. Rasho is a horrific defender/rebounder. Frye & James will give us more shot-blocking

I totally agree about his rebounding and defense, but he's a pretty decent shotblocker.

His only skills are offensive, if at all...
