Nazr had HORRIBLE hands....still does. And don't get me started on the 29,000 pump fakes... Ughh.

What's Defense?

holy kool-aid batman. Marbury is magically going to TRIPLE this guy's career stats? Has anyone ever seen him play?

I expect 7 points, 5 rebs 1.5 blocks in 20 minutes.

Please remember this guy misses 20+ games a year. Can we not use injuries as an excuse for losing if he misses games?

I don't think they'll be any in between. Either he's going to be in foul trouble and average 16mins 4pts 3rebs or he finally figured out not to go after every single block and pick up fouls like he did in the playoffs and average close to a double double in 20+mins

Nazr averaged 28 min, 10.9 pts, and 8 rbs for the Knicks. I think James is a better athlete but more foul prone - this year he cuts down on the fouls.

23 min, 11 pts, 9 rbs.

I remember an announcer talking about how small Nazr hands were and that's why he had so much trouble gathering the ball. I also remember the 1000 and 1 pump fakes he'd do before the ball would slip out of his hands, before he'd finally shoot or miss the lay-up. I liked Nazr but his hands were/are suspect...

10pts, 6rbs, 2blks for kid dy-no-mite

that's right- the only double double big game is going to average is bags o popcorn and cans o sodapop

7 points, 7 boards, 1.4 blocks.

Beyond those immediate stats, I'm hoping he is going to have an intangible impact as well in making our PFs be able to operate more effeciently, block out his man and prevent the 'reach over' boards we have been giving up all these years by having a midget front court- that is going to be the true measure of his impact or not...

he wont be pushed around. Lets face it, thats what we overpaid for. Bulk and hulk. I'm pretty sure Nazr will actually be a more productive player, but James should help us size wise.

The problem is the fouls. He's big and strong and isnt quick.

7 ppg, 5 rpg, 1.5 bpg in 21 mpg action. Worth about 15 mm, not 30 mm in 5 years.

Nazr gave us 10 ppg and 10 rpg and about a block before his groin injury and worked much harder. He's a better player to have than James.

The best part is that there are people on this board who will label those who ONLY think that JJ will DOUBLE his career averages as "haters" because they don't think that he'll TRIPLE his career averages at a minimum.

The best part is that a few posters here are so sensitive to the word hater that they'll put it in their signatures, cry for hours when someone calls them it, bring up the topic like you just did even when no supporter is calling a critic a hater. I think the critics mention the word hater at least ten times as often as any supporters do.

We test for steroids? Phuching career years than a falling off with guaranteed contracts really suck!

I hope JJ is all that he says he is, and the positive press makes him.

I am happy if he just does not deficate on himself at the foul line.

If he fails, or fallas back to his prior self Isiah will get grilled on this one. And deservingly so. Many were very wary of JJ!

On the other hand, its not a fatal signing even if so! He need just be an average backup for it to not blow up in our faces.

I don't think that anybody personally takes offense to it, they just find it completely idiotic that a label like that is thrown around on the basis of simply disagreeing with your Messiah. I for one find it extremely amusing and something of a badge of honor that people would call me that. At least I know that I'm not some kind of brain washed gay robot.

Bonn I feel sorry for the students who have to deal with you as their TA. You must be one of those anal jerks who are imposible to deal with in the classroom. I always wondered why they let people like you TA, but I guess thats the norm.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
