Phoenix needs a shooting guard, they have money, and they are close to the top. They also like to run and there are more than enough shots to go around. Spree also plays defense. I think he is better than Joe Johnson any day.
I did not realGM it so I don't know if there are other factors I need to consider.

Other spots I think Sprewell likely may land in order of likelihood IMO:

1) Denver: They need a shooting guard and he fits in with their style and upgrades their defense.

2) Sacramento: Even though Stojakovic is shooting guard they need to fill the Christie/Mobley hole, and Bonzi Wells aint it if theyt are smart in Sacramento, which they have been of late.

3) Cleveland: They can use a shooting guard.

4) Dallas: They have Stackhouse, but they like to pile it on.

5) Houston: He is better than Sura, Bigger than Wesley, and Jon Barry is not as good either. Sprewell already has a relationship with Van Gundy.

6) Utah: Lastly, I have feeling he might wind up in Utah. Sprewell may not seem to be a Utah-type guy, but Harpring seems to be breaking down fast, and Kirlenko and Boozer need an outside threat.

That's it off the top of my head.

P.S. I posted this in the NBA forum, then I saw this thread.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Hilarious? Yes! But frequently truth is stranger than fiction...

Spree needs to go somewhere. He has one of the most popular car custom business in the country. He has a few other things going on. Retire.

You can't root for a guy like him. When he was on the Knicks he was on his best behavior but he's definately showed his ass again.....

With what he wastes in a month can feed my kids for an entire year maybe 2!!! He really needs to go to hell.

Love how he tops it off with "He really needs to go to hell..."

awesome
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Spree need not go to hell!

Spree is science fiction!

By the way, his brother's name is Spreewell too, and he started Spreewell Racing. Im sure Latrell helped fund it, but it was a good idea. certainly putting his face on the business did not hurt it!
